Congressman Tom Lantos, who is a member of the delegation that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led to Syria, put the mission clearly when he said: "We have an alternative, Democratic foreign policy." Democrats can have any foreign policy they want - if and when they are elected to the White House.
Until Ms. Pelosi came along, it was understood by all that we had only one president at a time and - like him or not - he alone had the constitutional authority to speak for this country to foreign nations, especially in wartime.
All that Ms. Pelosi's trip can accomplish is to advertise American disunity to a terrorist-sponsoring nation in the Middle East while we are in a war there. That in turn can only embolden the Syrians to exploit the lack of unified resolve in Washington by stepping up their efforts to destabilize Iraq and the Middle East in general.

When are we going to realize that we are at civil war in America and the Constitutionalists are loosing the war. We have a huge bunch of rotten leftist to overcome call the MSM, RATS, and corrput Courts. Add a few Republicans that just are RINOs and it will probably result in a serious battle. Bring the troops home and let them see what has happened. Talk about a huge bunch of pissed GIs, not like Vietnam, they will raise hell. The RATS want redeployment not bring them home because they realize, some great Americans are these fighting men.

We might as well have the democratic confederacy govt. and the Republican confederacy govt. for all the good a common fed. govt. does in terms of protecting the interests of all the states and parties these days!

The only enduring reason why I would never, ever vote for a Democrat is their utter disregard for the Constitution...they are always trying to grab power so they can get their way. They are so absorbed with themselves and their self righteous posturing that they refuse to see how they damage our country. Their judges try to do the job of the legislature and their legislature is always trying to assume executive powers. They fail to see that they will weaken our Constitution if they continually try to distort and manipulate its parameters. Pelosi should rot in hell for this idiotic escapade. What a stooge! She dons the headscarf and grins like a moron and thinks she's scored a coup. It doubly undercuts our country in the Arab world when it's a meddlesome woman leading American males around by the nose. It makes them not want to be like us even more if she represents liberated women IMHO.
