To those that don't know Savage or listen to him, he claims to be an "independent conservative"... He surely does espouse some conservative views, but the vile he spews towards Bush, his cabinet, and other Republicans and GOPers could be mistaken for Air America trash.
It would be easy to blow him off as another looney blow-hard, but he's the 3rd most listened-to talk show host in the nation... He has over 8 million listeners, and in calling himself a conservative, he DOES have some real influence there. He's supposed to be on our side, but shifts positions so often, he's become a joke. He embodies every lefty criticism of our side.
In listening to parts of his show last night, he has the following things to say, in a short time span...
* Syria isn't nearly as bad as Iran, they can be spoken to, they don't threaten Israel, they are nationalists not fundamentalists
* The war was started to benefit Oil companies.
* Blasted Bush to no end, said Rice should have been fired a long time ago, blasted the rest of the cabinet
* Said it was OK for Pelosi to go talk to Syria
* Asked why is there a division between GOP and Dems, why do we automatically assume everything they do should be hated, etc.
In my view, this scum is far more dangerous than Air America and nearly every lib out there. He's pretending to be a conservative, yet does more damage to our causes than any other non-politician I can think of, because he has the influence to sway people.
This guy is an utter disgrace and a phony.
Wrong again, check mate! Savage is on KLAA 830 on the dial in sunny southern Calif, LIVE on another 50,000 watt station, vice being on the tape delayed KRLA. Sorry to burst your bubble again but I'm used to it now. Tee Hee!

YES, but that's not the point. The point is, Wiener attacks Limbaugh and other talkers, NOT the other way around, with the exception of Levin, who is responding to the Wiener.
Then guys like you are surprised that Freepers attack back on the Wiener thread.
The fact is, the Wiener thread is a Troll thread whether you see it as such or not. It is the only thread allowed on FreeRepublic which routinely trashes our Commander in Chief, much to the amazement of me and most others.
The Wiener thread deserves constant punishment by the FreeRepublic community until it is obvious to ALL that Wiener is a threat to Conservatism, not an asset.
I’m still hoping that Wiener is replaced here in the Austin area. If not for the commie-libs in Austin, he may have already been replaced.
Notice I have not defended or attacked Savage's opinion of Pelosi's visit on this thread, just tried to make a point about how the initiator of this thread made false statements concerning yesterday's Savage thread.
But hey the usual suspects again as last time, they didn't absorb your reasoned logic back then, they won't now. But thanks for restating your sentiments again, but how do you get through to blind hatred?

I remember an interview he did several years ago with John Sidney McCain (D) Arizona, when Mister McCain was promoting his McCain/Feingold campaign finance "reform" nonsense.
Savage (Weiner) was just as fawning and obsequious as was the media about the campaign reform swindle.
Anyone needing an indication of Weiner's questionable sanity need only listen to him vamp, when speaks while stalling for lucid sounding thoughts.
I quit listing to Weiner years ago. He is an embarrassment to genuine conservatives.

Or best of all, his bizarre attempt at rap? The only line I recall was “You ain’t got no money in the bank, jank.” I spent the long drive home trying to figure out what the hell “jank” meant.
