"Does anybody see people from the Savage threads go on Rush, Levin, etc. threads and start trashing them with stupid graphics, inane posts, and juvenile behavior?"

YES, but that's not the point. The point is, Wiener attacks Limbaugh and other talkers, NOT the other way around, with the exception of Levin, who is responding to the Wiener.

Then guys like you are surprised that Freepers attack back on the Wiener thread.

The fact is, the Wiener thread is a Troll thread whether you see it as such or not. It is the only thread allowed on FreeRepublic which routinely trashes our Commander in Chief, much to the amazement of me and most others.

The Wiener thread deserves constant punishment by the FreeRepublic community until it is obvious to ALL that Wiener is a threat to Conservatism, not an asset.

“YES, but that’s not the point. The point is, Wiener attacks Limbaugh and other talkers, NOT the other way around, with the exception of Levin, who is responding to the Wiener.”

There’s no “yes, but.” That’s exactly the point.

Answer the question: Do they? Do you see anybody from the Savage threads polluting Rush, Hannity, etc. threads?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve lurked those threads and I have yet to see a tenth of the thread pollution on those threads.

Does Savage criticize Rush and Hannity? Yes. Is it deserved? Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Not saying you’re not entitled to your opinion. Just that it ends when it becomes so boorish it essentially hijacks the thread.

“The Wiener thread deserves constant punishment by the FreeRepublic community until it is obvious to ALL that Wiener is a threat to Conservatism, not an asset.”

You’re missing the fundamental difference between Conservatism and Liberalism: Conservatism does NOT demand strict, orthodox adherence to ALL of its tenets. Some of us here are fiscal conservatives, others are social.

Savage is an independent conservative—probably more reactionary than most of us here (or at least what most of us will admit). But he’s still a conservative nonetheless. And trashing him does nothing but make us look like a bunch of adolescent fools.

That said, should he tone down his rhetoric? I’ll let other people be the judge.
