“If one person/cell got busted, and talked, that could cause the entire operation to fall like dominoes.”
SPECULATION-OPINION: Maybe not. If all of the global jihadists are waiting for a signal, it could be that they do not know about the other cells and this could be a problem.
However, jihadis do talk — one way or the other; unless they are dead, I suppose.

“Mainstream Caliphate Confessions”
By Andrew G. Bostom
FrontPageMagazine.com | April 30, 2007
Operational security is key to a multi target attack. The more targets and the more wide spread, the greater the communications necessary to pull off the necessary coordination. This increases the profile of the cell(s) involved and increases the potential for detection. I think that AQ et.al. is still too scared of our capabilities to intercept communications to risk such a wide ranging attack.
Thanks for keeping us up to date with all the latest reports.
Has there been any indication of WHEN the big multi-nation attack is supposed to take place? Another date with the number eleven in it?
I don't think there is any specific date, only a target of opportunity once a cell is ready. France should be particularly worried because they have a festering islamic problem in their slums. Other European countries have been recently threatened, however, I'm not sure that anything will happen just yet. My reasoning for the pause is the looming cloud of Iran and the surge in Iraq and Afghanistan. We've been sticking it to them pretty well in Afghanistan over the past year and they've lost some key players and recruits. Same goes for Iraq. The big question is will they try to do something to support Iran if Israel or us hit it. Iran is Persian and Shia - AQ is Sunni, only working together for a common enemy - us. RUMINT is that AQ is trying to get us involved in Iran, taking care of the Shia threat to their terror dominance. If we start shooting at Iran, there is a good chance that AQ may strike other oil resources - since the ME will be pretty puckered up for a while, striking a further economic blow. Another reason for AQ to hold off is that they have a sympathic congress in the surrendercrats and don't want to mess a good thing up. But as I said, if a target of opportunity presents itself, there's nothing to stop them.
Funny you should mention France. My granddaughter is going there next week, and will be there until May 31st.
She’ll fly into and out of Paris; will be riding the trains and buses; and will spend a lot of time in Rennes.
I hope she will be safe over there.
“I think that AQ et.al. is still too scared of our capabilities to intercept communications...”
That’s a very good point Godzilla.
OPINION: From my cybersurfing, it does appear to me that the jihadis
are very paranoid when it comes to who’s monitoring/reading their
stuff. I’m unsure if the cause of the paranoia is the dead jihadis,
the arrested jihadis, jihadis on dope, and/or plain old paranoid
jihadis.
There is no date.
I was thinking out of the box — speculating.

KEY TERROR LEADER, FOUR OTHER MILITANTS KILLED DURING ALLIED OPERATIONS
Release Date:
4/30/2007
Release Number:
07-01-03P
Description:
JALALABAD AIRFIELD, Afghanistan Coalition forces killed five militants including a key terrorist organizer as they fled Afghan National Security Forces during allied operations April 22 in northeastern Afghanistans Kunar Province.
Habib Jan, a key leader of insurgent forces in the Pech Valley and northeast Afghanistan, died alongside four other militants after a special reaction team from the Afghan National Police and 201st Afghan National Army Corps Soldiers forced them into a vulnerable position.
A combined allied ground mission spearheaded by 201st Corps Soldiers and supported by Coalition force Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, drove the fighters into caves near the Pech village of Shudergay. Coalition planes subsequently destroyed the insurgent positions.
Coalition forces recovered a mortar system, rocket launchers, small arms, grenades, batteries, ballistic goggles and documents suggesting coordination with at least one international terror leader in the aftermath of the operation.
Habib Jan and his followers were notorious participants in improvised explosive device attacks, assassinations and intimidation efforts throughout the region.
Afghan military leaders characterized the militants death as a significant blow to insurgents operating in the northeast.
The recent death of Habib Jan, known enemy of Afghanistan, was the result of an operation conducted by 2nd Company, 2nd Mechanized Kandak, 3rd Brigade QRF, 201st ANA Corps, said ANA Brig. Gen. Zmarai, the 3rd Brigade commander. This was the result of a counter-insurgency operation conducted by the Afghan National Army to defeat the enemies of Afghanistan. I am very proud of the performance of the Soldiers of 2nd Company and the determination and combat skills they displayed during this operation.
Afghan government officials described the death of the terror leader as a fitting end for a ruthless murderer and a victory for regional stability.
Habib Jan was the commander of our enemies, said Haji Zalmay, the Pech District sub-governor. He has murdered innocent people and he was the cause of insecurity in the region.
He was making IEDs and killing innocent people, Zalmay continued. His death will bring more peace and security to the Watapor and Monogay districts.
Afghan Security Forces and Coalition forces fought very bravely, he added. It is a great achievement for our ASF to kill Habib Jan, an enemy of Afghanistan.
