How do you have the picture clickable to a URL link? That's a real mystery to me .. ;)

Do you know how to post a link? Instead of putting words to click on, you put a picture. Like this...

<a href="http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Fred_Thompson.htm"> <img src="http://www.zyworld.com/jelibn2/fredping.gif" width=612 height=158> </a>

If you copy and paste that, you get this:

Ditto. From an independent conservative.

I think Fred is someone a lot of Republicans can get excited over and they will come out to vote for him.

I also think he will attract a lot of moderate voters. The voters that sometimes vote (R) and sometimes vote (D).

When I compare him to all the other candidates he is far more articulate and believable than the others.....something about that voice I think.

Another downside is his lack of executive experience.

His 9-year Senate record and experience in serving on government committees more than make up for this.

Besides, Bush was technically a one-term Governor of Texas before becoming President (He declared his candidacy in early 1999). And being Texas' Governor has no real power.

I don't care how a guy looks on camera, a pleasing voice or if he has a great head of hair.

Here's FT during the Watergate investigation.

Jeff Chandler wrote: "Another downside is his lack of executive experience."

Executive experience, in Jimmy Carter's case, is highly overrated. But Truman made the critical decision to drop the bomb and end WWII without thaving the benefit of prior executive experience. JFK, with no executive experience, still managed to handle the Cuban Missle Crisis without starting WWIII.

~LOL~ So not everyone is Duncan Hunter -- who???? now that another Actor may run for POTUS? Ronald Reagan had executive experience, Fred Thompson is a very charismatic guy, but his record as senator is supporting John McCain and I am not a fan of my state Senator.

Memo to Fred:

My checkbook is open and my pen is warmed up.

Just say the word.

I'll second that.
