Live thread to FReep about the Special
David Asman is a reporter. How many interviews will he get after making that statement?
BINGO. It's the ONLY explanation, IMHO...........
That’s a part of it. But it’s hard to know where the intimidation stopped.
Where is Monsoor at now? I haven’t seen him in ages.
Great show. Out of curiousity I went to see what the DUmmies had to say about it. A exercise in futility. Could find nothing, as usual. They studiously avoid subjects they cannot possibly defend sometimes. That is of course when they are not being as loony as usual. Many times they just dive right in regardless of how moronic it makes them appear.

MONSOOR IJAZ has been a Foreign Affairs Expert on the FoX News Channel for years now. Usually phoning in from Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc., for weekend reports. Been some time since I’ve heard from him as well.

[* My note : Where was this other person when Sandy Berger was pilfering documents from NARA? Did anyone observe this other individual pilfering documents?]
Unless Sandy Berger takes some truth serum, we will not know.
We do know that part of his sentence was to take a lie detector test, which has not been done and will be ignored because anyone pertaining to the Clintons is not mentally competent to hold himself or herself accountable to the law.
The Bush admin was seeking to replace Clinton appointee John Carlin as head archivist at the time. Carlin put up quite a fight to hang on as long as possible so it's not as if he was just ready to retire. Carlin's associated with the nongovernmental official-sounding group "National Security archive" which is asociated with Tom Blanton, IPS and Peter Kornbluh.
....Senator Levin then [in july 22, 2004 hearing] introduced a bombshell document into the hearing record -- a letter from current Archivist Carlin that was prepared in response to a number of questions posed to him by Levin regarding whether he [Carlin] approached the administration, or had the administration initially had approached him about resigning as Archivist. (The National Coalition for History and several of its member organizations have repeatedly called on the committee to get to the bottom of the issue relating to the Carlin controversy.) In Carlin's response (dated July 21-my note: July 21, 2004--) obtained by the history coalition, the Archivist stated: "In answer to the first question, the Administration initially approached me. On Friday, December 5, 2003, the Counsel to the President [Alberto Gonzales] called me and told me the Administration would like to appoint a new Archivist. I asked why and there was no reason given." ------Report on the Hearing on Allen Weinstein's Nomination as Archivist of the United States via 223 posted on 01/12/2005 9:33:56 AM PST by cyncooper
Clinton appointed two people to dig in the archives as part of the 9/11 commission... Berger was just the one who got caught.
If the Bush admin was capable of covering up either of your theoretical conspiracies, it would have been capable of covering up Abu Ghraib, and able to protect Libby, Tom Delay, and able to stop the gazillion other leaks we’ve seen pop up.
Bin Laden gave us the war and the borders have been open since before you were born.
