President Bush visited soldiers and Marines at the physical therapy wing of Walter Reed Army Center in Washington today. Afterwards, the president spoke at Walter Reeds Red Cross Hall, praising the doctors and nurses for their extraordinary care of the troops and promising that the problems found in the center--and the bureaucracy--will soon be fixed. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with Guinea-Bissau Foreign Minister Antonio Isaac Monteiro and Brazil's Foreign Minister Celso Amorim at the State Department in Washington.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
If you prefer a different photo please let me know
Thank you very much. I appreciate it
Question......... Can it be viewed on a full screen? Enlarged?
Can you FIX that? LOL!
Leftists are the most disgustingly dishonest people on the face of the earth.
Now he has screwed the pooch of public opinion to the extent that he has to do the Clintonesque 'photo-op'.
btw...a genuine thanks for posting the pics.
Even worse, they DO see it, they just assume he's faking it, because that's what THEY do.
He's not doing anything differently than he's done for the last 6 1/2 years. Media hammering on him has changed the opinions of some who allow their opinions to be shaped by the MSM. We, who recognize the yammerings of the press for what they are, hatred of Republicans in general and conservatives in particular, just let it roll right past and don't incorporate into our worldview.
Since we don't follow the media line, and we've seen him do these visits since the beginning of the war, we don't ascribe any ulterior motives to them now. They are just part and parcel of who this man is, and how he respects the men and women in uniform.
snugs...you know me very well....that is the exact picture I would have picked.
Thank you very much...it was very thoughtful of you to do that for me!
I hope you had a wonderful evening with your friend...and I hope your Dad is feeling more comfortable by now..
sleuth
What in heaven's name are you talking about?
We have seen hundreds of photos exactly like these from Walter Reed over the past years.
This is no photo op. The media lies. Don't you know that?
And we've seen these touching scenes many, many times over the years.
This Commander in Chief loves his troops. Period.
Anyone who thinks this was a photo op has swallowed media lies.
sorry about that, it's up now
Some of those clips are just amazing.
I had never seen a close up of his tears when he dedicated the walkway to his beloved Laura, or their hands at the Ford funeral. I remember her caressing his arm in the interview, and I have seen all the tender touching and loving looks over the years..............but seeing it altogether with the music is just awesome!
Thank you for all the work it had to take to put that together.
Wow!
Has everyone on the Dose seen that?? They should!
My daughter and son-in-law went to see it on their anniversary. They both said it was a great movie. She did say it was pretty gory in most of the movie, but she did say they loved it otherwise! She just said she wanted to warn me that it was pretty graphic!
That was absolutley gorgeous....You used live video clips! Eeek! All I've ever used was photos.....
Glad you liked it
I am round my friend's this evening so will not be up on line but will check in tomorrow morning from home.
Miss you see you tomorrow
Hi Notes,
Thanks for the link, but I already had shockwave. I had no problem watching the video on line, but after I downloaded it I couldn't get it to run. What I did was
convert it from an avi movie to an mpeg using a program I found at this site http://www.imtoo.com/avi-mpeg-converter.html. It now works on my desktop. I may be the only one with this problem, but this worked for me. So far this program hasn't caused a problem. I did set a restore point prior to downloading just in case. Thanks again for the beautiful video.
If anyone wants the already converted video, just send me your email address in fr mail and I will send it to you.
You know, what's so great about George and Laura, is that their affection is not an affectation. They're not doing it for the cameras or public opinion. They genuinely love each other, and it shows by the little ways they touch each other, when they're just standing closely. When they're talking to each other, or even to others, if they are next to each other, one or the other of them will rub the other's back or arm in a gesture of caring.
I just love watching them together, and I know they are going to be SO glad to get out of DC and back to their ranch house!
