The area in which this occured is very violent. This isn't the first shooting in this area and it won't be the last. The dirtbags on the southside will never learn. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say the Border Patrol is assaulted almost every day in this area.

Perhaps a recounting of the 3 Coyote rule is in order.
If you have a problem with coyotes, you shoot or trap one, and hang it on your fence.
The coyotes will continue to bother you.
You then trap or shoot a second, and hang it on the fence next to the first.
The coyotes will still bother you.
You then trap or shoot a third, and hang it on the fence next to the other two.
The rest of the coyotes will go somewhere else.
We just have to find out the number that for Mexican criminals is equivalent to "3" for coyotes.

Who cares what was used to kill this guy! Just another anti-2nd Amendment article mixed in with the border incident.
Would the headline been "Agent kills man with base ball bat", if a bat was used???? No, of course not, but the reference to an ASSAULT RIFLE is to scare people so they will go along with a dem ban on all rifles.

"shot once with an M-4 assault rifle, which is a condensed version of an M-16"
Would have made any diference if the jumper had been shot with a P-990 or an FX-05?

Sounds like the man was "assaulted". Good for the Border Patrol!

Evil Assault Rifle?
Evil Shotgun?
How about Evil Illegal Alien?
I think we know the truth, but it's not easy finding it in the article...

Weird headline, I have to agree. Perhaps the headline writer would prefer that we ease tension at the border by letting the Border Patrol blaze away with bazookas instead. Hey, it might work.

Hmmm... interesting overfocus on the weaponry.

The man, whose identity and legal status in the United States has yet to be determined, was shot once with an M-4 assault rifle, which is a condensed version of an M-16, Border Patrol Agent David Kim said. "The man", whose legal status in the United States one could bank on guessing correctly, would be much less dead had he been shot one time with an ordinary "non assault" rifle, I suppose.
I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say the Border Patrol is assaulted almost every day in this area.
And I reckon the dirtbags are emboldened to know Gonzales will put the border agents who defend themselves in prison, if given an opportunity. Hopefully this team of agents has their paperwork in perfect order.

At least the illegal alien was not killed by an SUV.
Where are the reporters imbedded with these Border Patrol agents?
Right. . .way too dangerous.

A WHOLE REAL assault rifle? Were any SUVs involved? If so, was predatory lending involved in their purchase?

After the struggle he grabbed a softball-sized rock... The man raised the rock as if to throw it... it was at pretty close range....A lighted Molotov cocktail that did not explode was found near the scene after the suspects fledIt sounds like a very dangerous situation the agents found themselves in.
Just ask Reginald Denny if a "softball-sized rock" can do any damage to your face and skull?

The man raised the rock as if to throw it, according to reports, and the agent shot him once with the assault rifle. Never bring a rock to a gun fight.

It is time for Bush to come out from the bushes and start giving a free hand to our brave border agents. While he is at it, he should issue pardons to and reinstate the border patrol agents that were railroaded into the pen on the testimony of a drug smuggler.
