Prayers for Tony and his family.
I don't personally believe that God makes people ill. I do believe that when we are afflicted with illness or tragedy, we have the opportunity to show our Heavenly Father that we can behave well (or behave badly). I know Tony will behave well, like the fine man he's always been, whatever the outcome.
That said, I also know that God can heal when it's His will, and that He listens to our prayers. So I pray unto You, Lord, that You will hear my prayer and heal Your servant, Tony. He is a good man in every way, and deserving of Your mercy. Please let him continue to do good on this earth in Your name, until it suits You to call him home. In the name of thy blessed son, Jesus, I ask this. Amen.
God be with Tony and his family.
My prayers are with you!
Maria
Lots of issues with being clear.
Liver cancer starts in the liver. This means, specifically, that liver CELLS became cancerous. The cells stopped behaving properly and started growing in uncontrolled fashion.
Metastasized colon cancer in the liver is COLON CELLS that became cancerous, in the colon, and travelled to the liver where they lodged, induced the body to grow blood vessels to provide them a blood/nutrient supply, and began to grow in uncontrolled fashion there.
One of the most recent methods of attacking cancer is to try to stop the body from forming those blood vessels. It is called anti angiogenesis. There is some progress on this.
I will probably get chastised for what I am about to say, but I'll say it anyway.
I think it is a damn shame that someone like Tony Snow gets this terrible disease while the likes of Hillary, Bill, Conyers, Frank, et al., skate through life pretty much unscathed. I know God has a plan and He aint't telling us what it is but sometimes it seems like a suck plan.
I just read on Tony Snow's Wikipedia entry that his mother died on colon cancer when he was 17.
Prayer Bump for Tony & his family!!
Looks like DU is censoring the liberal hatred today!!!
"A pre-emptive message from the DU Admins.
I have instructed the moderators that they have my permission to remove wildly inappropriate comments about Tony Snow having cancer, if such comments are posted.
I know most DUers would never post such things. But if there are any trolls out there who are thinking of posting such things... Don't."
"I hate to ask....but I always thought liver cancer was terminal? Hope I'm wrong?"
Not always. My brother-in-law had liver cancer 25 years ago, and he's still alive. From what I understand, the liver can regenerate and he had 3/4 of his liver removed.
Another woman I know had colon cancer, like Tony, and just like his case, it eventually spread to her liver. She's still alive and that was over 10 years ago. I think it just depends whether it is operable or not.
So does this mean that they never did get all the colon cancer like they reported?
Our Prayers are with you, Tony.
We know the loony left hates everything and everyone associated with the President and Vice-President. This thread expresses our concern, prayers and best wishes for Tony; no need to post their hate-filled speech here.
FOX has Dr. Manny on discussing this again- he is fairly positive..
There will be an oncologist on shortly to discuss.
President on discussing this now- offering prayers..
Oh NO! This breaks my heart. Praying for him and his family. . .
Life isn't fair, is it?
I am so saddened to hear this news of Tony. He's such an optimist, and I hope that carries him through this battle. May the Good Lord help Tony.
"Can't you just FEEL the compassion and tolerance of the left???"
They are useless drones that should be run out of the country.
It's possible to have multiple primary cancers...the type of cancer is determined by pathology. Different cancers react differently to different treatments and typically metastasized cancer is more serious than a new primary.
It's the DU regulars who post that stuff, as the DU administrators well know.
Best wishes and prayers up for Tony and his family.
