Operation Bite: April 6 Attack by US Forces Against Iran Planned, Russian Military Sources Warn
RIA Novosti ^ | March 19, 2007

Posted on 03/26/2007 10:05:25 AM PDT by Fennie

The long awaited US military attack on Iran is now on track for the first week of April, specifically for 4 AM on April 6, the Good Friday opening of Easter weekend, writes the well-known Russian journalist Andrei Uglanov in the Moscow weekly "Argumenty Nedeli." Uglanov cites Russian military experts close to the Russian General Staff for his account. In the course of the attack, code named Operation Bite, about 20 targets are marked for bombing; the list includes uranium enrichment facilities, research centers, and laboratories. The attacks will be mounted from a number of bases, including the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Diego Garcia is currently home to B-52 bombers equipped with standoff missiles. Also participating in the air strikes will be US naval aviaton from aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf, as well as from those of the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. Additional cruise missiles will be fired from submarines in the Indian Ocean and off the coast of the Arabian peninsula...

They forgot Jack Bauer.

Maybe the Brits can dig up Bond, but wouldn't count on it. Bond will just write them a nasty letter.

"WHO THE F**K RELEASES THIS INFO?"

Admiral Yamamoto's Crack Code Crackers cracked a coded message from our guys before the battle of Midway. It cost them big time.

The critical intelligence"

In the same way that battles are the "highlights" of continuous military efforts, intelligence work is an endless continuous effort which sometimes produce critically important results. This was the case in the battle of Midway.

In the few weeks before the battle, the US Navy's Combat Intelligence Office, in charge of analyzing and deciphering Japanese naval radio communications, received indications hinting that the Japanese Navy is preparing for a major attack. Deciphered Japanese messages referred to the attack target only by its code name, AF. There were several possible targets for such a major attack, and knowing which one was code named AF was critical. Commander Joseph P. Rochefort, head of the Combat Intelligence Office, thought that the gathered intelligence indicate that AF is Midway island, but he needed a proof.

In order to prove it, he called Midway via the underwater cable phone line, which the Japanese could not tap, and asked them to transmit a message that the water desalination facility in Midway is broken, a juicy piece of (fake) information for the Japanese intelligence, indicating that the American defenders at Midway are about to suffer a severe shortage of drinking water.

Soon after, Rochefort's staff deciphered a Japanese radio message saying that target AF is suffering a water shortage problem. This was the proof he needed, an extremely important piece of intelligence. It was achieved by a simple trick, but only thanks to the endless prior work of American radio listeners and code breakers.

With this information at hand, Admiral Nimitz, the American commander, could concentrate his entire smaller force in the right place, at the right time, knowing that he knows the enemy's plans, a rare advantage for a commander.

More data to drive the Islamofascist Nutjobs in Iran into a deeper insanity and acts of desperation.

We were stationed there after jimmuh F'n cartuh's failed mission. We need to start taking out one mosque, and one military site and/or government site level anything that can be considered a military weapon owned by a radical. They only seem to understand force in their leadership, so let's give it to'em. Want to see if the people will be different after we annihilate the leadership. I'm all out of cute. Trigger finger is itchy...

If we do do that, we should also make a move to sieze the Iranian oil fields with ground troops. The troops would move no further than the fields near Iraq (except to wipe out missile launchers and occassionaly engage IRG units.)

The folks at the Telegraph are going to be very upset. They're supposed to have an exclusive on our top secret battle plans.

The biggest problem, as one of the officers who worked on that failed rescue lamented, was that Carter was an insufferable micro-manager. Such management style is hobbling to every one under it.

But, but, what would they have done on 3 mile island if Jimmuh hadn't gone out there and taken control himself?

I will take this with a grain of salt. Battle plans with dates and times spread in the public arena? maybe more like disinformation for the Iranians or even something to make them wish they paid their bills. That being said I remain skeptical but figure it will probably go down at some point in time. Either way IF this is accurate you can bet Teheran has alerted their Hezbollah and Hamas cells in the US for action. I would then expect to see either a surge of SJS or several raids by the Feds of various " charities" , mosques or even CAIR offices

"...I have recently acquired a CD with all the mosques in the USA on it! Needs some font editing but otherwise is a jewel. The FBI were not even interested in seeing it or getting a copy - for free.
The comment was "we probably already have this". What can I say?..."

It is incredible that they act so dis-interested. I hope it's just an act!

Feel free to share the data on the CD, especially the info on the Tampa-St. Pete area ................. FRegards

Nobody actually believes this.
I think this is phenomenal psy-ops though, we even get the Russians to leak the bait (probably unwittingly though).
News like this will keep Ahmadinejad up at nights and feed his paranoia.

Well .. I don't think Bush would launch an attack on Tehran with the Brits there .. unless it was going to be a distraction so the Brits could get their people out.

Is Dale Brown the author that has a "stealth" B-52 he keeps resurecting? He must be way beyond B-52Z model by now.
