"Weather Channel Climate Expert Calls for Decertifying Global Warming Skeptics," by Marc Morano, Inhofe EPW Press Blog, U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=PressRoom.Blogs&ContentRecord_id=32abc0b0-802a-23ad-440a-88824bb8e528

Sterling Burnett, senior fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis, noted the irony of scientists calling for draconian reprisals against skeptics of global warming alarmism.
"The entire scientific method is built upon the enormous value of skepticism," Burnett said. "Good science depends on skeptical voices challenging the dominant belief until theory is proven to be fact. Until and unless all reasonable doubt has been removed from a scientific theory, scientific challenge and debate is essential to the scientific process and, ultimately, human well-being. History has certainly proven that over and over again.
"With this in mind, what they should be doing is stripping away the credentials of those who seek to stifle scientific debate. Those who seek to stifle scientific debate are the true enemies of science," Burnett added. Ouch Heidi, that's one slap that's got to leave a mark on ya.

Sadly, the Discovery Channel has also gone down the road of junk science. They have some good programming but it's hard to watch anymore knowing that they're endorsing this global warming garbage.

I don't think the left will be so stupid as to actually draw first blood.

So true, I have noticed the Discovery Channel go down the road of junk science and global warming fear over the past 6 months. An odd time I would watch the show Mythbusters or watch the family from New York build motorcycles on Discovery if there was nothing else on, but ever since I saw the Discovery Channel pandering to Tom Brokaw to create a TV special which was full of global warming fear and numerous other shows on Discovery all revolving around global warming fear and junk science, I have been boycotting that network.

As an aerospace engineer, I'm going to suggest at the next SAE conference that licenses should be pulled for any engineer that chooses to debate or contradict conventional opinion. That'll go over real well, eh?
As ridiculous as my last statement is, it's normal and accepted in the field of meteorology. Pretty sad to see that field (and others, like the AMA becoming gun-control advocates) becoming Nazified.

I love Stephanie Abrams in a T-shirt -- in a hurricane -- being drenched by the rain.

If a meteorologist can't speak to the fundamental science of climate change HERE is the "fundamental science of climate change"...

Good looking chick. She's got nothing in her head, it all went to her boobs. It's not too hard to figure out how she got through college. Good looks and liberalism go a lot farther than brains or hard work in a lot of fields of study nowadays.

Rmember when all the Weather Babes had to report on Typhoon Longwang? Somewhere there's a clip of one of them saying on the air that someone had to be setting her up by using that name.
Cheers!

I'll take Kari Byron. She's one one of the reasons I enjoy Myth Busters. I watch the Weather Channel for weather.
