Former U.S. Rep. Bill Zeliff is joining Rudy Giulianis presidential campaign.
A source in the campaign told UnionLeader.com that the former Jackson innkeeper will help with federal and New Hampshire issues as an adviser and will help raise money in Washington, D.C.
Zeliff, a Republican, was first elected to New Hampshires 1st District U.S. House seat in 1990. He left the House after three terms and ran unsuccessfully for the GOP nomination for governor in 1996.
Zeliff has been a Washington lobbyist for the past 10 years, currently employed by The Livingston Group, headed by former Republican Rep. Bob Livingston of Lousiana.
Reading from the same talking points sheet.
Paging Bill Clinton again.
Everyone knows they didn't have a marriage anymore. Donna wouldn't even say if she ever voted for him and rarely appeared at his side. They were living separate lives while sharing the same house. Period.
Conservatism, and in fact patriotism, is much, much more than a slogging war on Islamism.
Uh, where in the estranged dictionary does it say a couple must be living apart? You must lead a very sheltered life that you don't know these things.
Rudy had a strange way of being "estranged".
These Rudybots think he is excused for any of his past misconduct. Like we all said about Clinton, "If he was caught with a dead 12 year old in his bed, his supporters would find that acceptable."
The hypocrisy is astounding.
Are you saying Rudy is excused for having sex outside his marriage, simply because he wasn't getting any at home? Where is that found acceptable in the Catholic Church? Please tell us. Did his marriage vows mean nothing? If he broke his own marriage vows, how can we trust him to keep his vow to uphold the Constitution of the United States as President? We can't.
"No, Cunningham is Hunter's guy. They're close friends."
That's nice. I'm not a supporter or Rep. Hunter, other than in the sense that I think he would be a better President than Mayor Giuliani or Sen. Clinton. Heck, I have an oak tree in my front yard that can plausibly claim that distinction.
"Rudy is delighted instead to receive the endorsement of Rep. Pete Sessions who have a lifetime conservative rating of 97%."
Amazing how quickly politicians are willing to sell out their principles, isn't it?
And issues? There's only one. And what's the proof that he'd be a standup guy on that one?
Well, Rudy wasn't having sex with that woman (his wife).
Paging Bill Clinton.
Oh, I see, then it's OK to have a mistress that you shamelessly parade around in public while you're still married.
It's been quite amusing to watch freeper throw lifelong conservatives under the bus because they happen to support a fiscal and law and order conservative like Rudy vs. a social conservative like Bush.
Heck, freepers were even trashing Ted Olson the other day. And Newt. Newt had the temerity to praise Rudy and then HE got thrown under the bus too.
It's really been quite something to watch.
Reagan was not twice divorced.
I do not know enough about Hunter to support him but I know I can not support Rudy.
Well, if Rudy lost public support he could always claim to be "estranged" and free to %#@# us over.
Why don't you show me where I said that? What I have said is that it's quite a different thing to have a public estrangement and be living separate lives under the same roof when one meets, falls in love and decides to remarry then it is to cheat on an unsuspecting wife who thinks the marriage is a good one.
Yes, I suppose Bill Clinton has been estranged for years.
Oh, I can see that you're one of the freepers who is helping to get Free Republic referred to as a transsexual web site. You must be so proud.
