Tony's doctors have detected a growth of some kind. He will have surgery on Monday. They are not saying that this is or is not cancer. Please be so kind as to offer your prayers, your support for this good man.

this is a family Thread!I know, I know. But first it was all that talk about pajamas and Tony and then that smokin' hot comment and the thong thing. I just lost it. I'm better now...honest.

sarcasm on: Tony Snow wants in on the action? The media will eat him alive if this is cancer and say that he and Bush are trying to take attention away form MRS. Edwards and her brave battle against her cancer that is now in her bones IIRC...
To: Tony Snow
Please know there are many of us who are holding you, and your family up in prayer this weekend.

I went 3 weeks ago for my Colonoscopy. If I can do it, any one can! Mine was normal thank goodness! There is a lot to be said for "peace of mind".

Yeah, in spite of my family experiences with colon cancer, I did not understand much about it. Finally, my doctor and my wife persuaded [forced?] me to get a colonoscopy. Good thing as they found a couple of polyps. After, improving my exercise and diet [I now love fiber] I was able to go from a three year schedule to a five year. Early detection is a big key with colon cancer as it is with several of the other cancers. Get checked thoroughly and often.
Wait, didn't I just say this was a family Thread? Sorry! 8)

LOL...Thanks for the report, FFV!!!
I am so glad that Tony has someone on FR that he can talk directly to.
We all just care so much for him...he is really like a family member to a lot of us.
Thanks for being the go-between.

Incredibly, Rush Limbaugh already proposed that scenario [Tony being used to dilute Edwards] on his radio show today.

Well, I am due again soon and it is no big deal because you sleep through the whole thing. It is worth the inconvenience of having to let someone drive you home. Anybody over 50 should have one every couple of years, and if you have a Family History of Colon Cancer, or have stomach problems, screenings should start much earlier. If you are confused about the procedure, or reluctant because it looks menacing, etc you can google or do a search on Mayo Clinic or Dr Koop, WebMD Websites and they even have illustrations that put your mind at ease. You probably already know all this, (been there, done that), but for those that are reluctant and Gambling with their Health/Life it is good to read up on it. Thank You Tony for always being the helpful Professional.
