Tony's doctors have detected a growth of some kind. He will have surgery on Monday. They are not saying that this is or is not cancer. Please be so kind as to offer your prayers, your support for this good man.

Prayers up and on the way.
Prayers cost so little, can we not afford to spend them?

Wonderful news!
dinasour, thanks for finding it and posting it.
Saveliberty, thanks for pinging us to it.
[And saveliberty, thanks to your good advice, I am finally back on line and able to read this good news. Although, maybe, I should stay offline so we can get more good news?!]

you get an A for creativity. I'll take an A any way I can get one. There were so few in my academic years!

Speaking of things collegiate, had a good time today raising money for classical music station W-DAV. You know, but others may not, that WDAV is the college radio station at Tony Snow's Alma Mater, Davidson College. A very strange day, doing a fun job [We volunteers man the telephones; one volunteer had to woman the telephone!] yet experiencing sadness at the memories of Tony being here on campus for four years, presumably having fun, too, and now, today, he is waging a tough fight for his health. [I am cheered when I recall he generally masters any project he takes on.]
Before leaving the campus, I had a chance to see Tony's favorite coach, Bob McKillop, who is Davidson's winningnest coach in history and took the team from the SoCon championship on to the NCAAs. Not bad for a small school [1,600+] with high academic standards. All in all, it was a fine Tony Snow day. Only problem....there was no Tony Snow here. But, the good news on Tony that you and dinasour shared made it a perfect day in the end.
So different from the day yesterday. But, I frequently try to remind myself that prayers may not make a bad thing into a good thing, but they do frequently make bad things better. And maybe that is the way it is supposed to be.

Thanks. I probably should have posted that on as a separate article, but since CNN is such a smuck about excerpts, I didn't.
I am running a supplemental "Tony Detector" that searches the web for news articles.
I don't run it all the time because it gives "false positives" when some TV station web site posts some variation of the same AP story.
But, under the circumstances, I want to get out as much information as possible.

Hey, dina. You just reminded me I could use a Google search but there has been so much written about Tony that it might blow a fuse.
My take on yesterday's media blitz for Tony Snow was that he was the only guy able to make a dent in the 24/7 coverage of Anna Nicole Smith.

That's the problem I am having, separating the wheat from the chaff (and occasionally the hate). *See note below.
> Tony Snow was that he was the only guy able to make a dent in the 24/7 coverage of Anna Nicole Smith.
No problem there, all chaff, no wheat. I grieve for her family's loss, but enough is enough.
Unfortunately, a substantial part of the American public seems to disagree.
* The FreeRepublic just showed up in the "Supplemental Tony Detector". That doesn't happen often.
I cry when I see some of this stuff. They try to portray us as "monsters", but I see real monsters out there.
Left spews deadly venom over Tony Snow's cancer
You don't need to go there, and I will leave the crap out of future posts.
