I wouldn't count it. He has cast one veto and that involved stem cell research.

I believe he will veto it, and I'll tell you why I believe it.

The one thing that Bush has remained consistent about is his faith. Bush knows that he is the most powerful man on this planet but believes that power is nothing compared to God's. He also believes that God put him in the White House to serve Him and his most important role as the President of the United States is to be a servant of God by serving and protecting God's creation.

Regardless of what he may say to remain PC, he believes this war is between good and evil and he feels morally bound as a servant of God to do all that he can to ensure that good triumphs.

That, in a nut shell, is why the left hates him.

Both of those statements defy logic.

First, how do you know those posters have seen this thread yet?

Second, the 2nd sentence is so flawed it should be taken out and shot. You're saying if you don't support the winner, you can't complain about the results?

If you really believe that, you need to take a few weeks vacation, maybe go in for rehab.

I mean, has the 1st Amendment been voided recently and I didn't hear about it?

Or are you advocating for Soviet style elections where there was never any real choice?

Just in from the DCCC

Democrats and the American people insist on a New Direction in Iraq. Today marks a significant step. The House of Representatives passed critical legislation to support our troops, take care of our veterans, and end the war in Iraq. As Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday, the choice was clear: support President Bush's open-ended commitment in Iraq or support a new direction in Iraq. With Speaker Pelosi's strong leadership, Democrats fought to answer the call of the American people and today we delivered.

Democrats have brought accountability and oversight back to the Congress and that is truly because of your continued support. We have the power to hold President Bush accountable for the first time in six years because you helped win a Majority in the House -- while Republicans continue to offer more of the same, voting to stay the course in Iraq. Thousands of people in the DCCC community took action and became citizen co-sponsors of our plan and its passage speaks to the power of your voice. Thank you, we couldn't have done this without you.

The U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Health, and Iraq Accountability Act will:

Ensure that U.S. troops have the resources and training they need;

Improve healthcare for returning service members and veterans;

Direct more resources to the war against al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan;

Require Iraqis to take control of Iraq - by meeting the security, political and economic benchmarks established by President Bush;and,

Set a timeline for ending U.S. participation in Iraq's civil war.

"Colonial Americans were also a minority relative to the British"

Yep. We are in a different time and with the our culture of talking tough, but when it gets rough we want to forget about things and run. We would would have lost WW II and be speaking German on the Wast coast and Japanese on the West Coast and maybe Italian in the corn and Bible belts.

Our culture and wussie attitude is going to doom us.

I just emailed all the Southern Indiana newspapers to inform them that Baron Hill voted with the terrorists. He defeated Mike Sodrel, a conservative Republican, who had done a fabulous job. Baron Hill is a JOKE, he comes here and talks like a Conservative and then goes to DC and kisses Pelosi's rear. I emailed him and told him that I was going to begin emailing letters to the editors of the major newspapers in the area every time he votes with the Terrorists. I'm sure he does not care, his staff will most likely delete the note as they read it.

That is really funny. Since when do you guys top the former French flag on your congress house? The white eagle on white linen.

Maybe your congressmen want to announce a new album after Jaques was that sucessfull with those evergreens:

P.S.

I have a new motto for those congressmen too: Semper surrender...

Oh and here's the money quote:

"So, in her drive for votes, Pelosi has told colleagues privately that if the measure fails, she will move quickly to pass a "clean" spending bill, one without the conditions and requirements for troop withdrawals."

I just printed a "bumper sticker" to tape on my station wagon's back window:

Unlike the Democrats...
We Support Our Troops
and VICTORY in Iraq

Please do the same... if for nothing else to TICK OFF liberals!

"There is no such thing as a "blue dog"."

We should all refuse to use the term. They use it to try to separate themselves from the hard left. We should not be helping them out.
