Did Giuliani put School Vouchers in place in New York city during his 8 years as mayor there?

No. In fact, he was so exasperated at the power and control of the teachers unions to negate his ability to accomplish anything regarding educational reforms in the city, he has become a staunch advocate of school choice and vouchers.

Barack the Magic Negro Indeed!!!! I think Barack the Magic Black might be more of a rhyme. However, he is Irish and wishes to be addressed as "O'Bama, himself", "O'Bama Man" or "The O'Bama".

As you note, polls are only meaningful to those that gain from them! LOL!

Ain't that the truth!!!

I'm telling you, unless Hillary introduces Obama to the term Arkancide, Obama will be the nominee. And it wouldn't surprise me if he named her as his running mate.

That's a pretty good place for Fred to be right now, considering that he has not even announced a run yet.

I am talking about insiders to Fred Thompson, not the "Draft Fred '08" people. Exploratory in the sense of actually exploring the potential, not an official "Exploratory Committee" that is registered with the FEC. It is still too early for that.

Is this another one of those cases where we couldn't expect Rudy to do the right thing because, as Mayor of New York, he either had to go along with the status quo, or didn't have any power to fix things?

"Run Fred Run!!! Pick up Hunter as Veep... Or the other way around. Either works for me"

I hope Fred runs too! I also love Duncan Hunter, and that is who I am supporting at this time. A Thompson/Hunter ticket would be great. All this is a big IF as Fred has not said he will run. Would like to know if the DEMS winner will pick their VP before the Republican winner does. If Obama ends up on their ticket, I wouldn't mind at all seeing Steel as VP with whoever wins the Rep nomination.

Um, why would you expect this poll to be wrong? Everyone knows who Obama is, most people feel warmly about him, and the generic Democrat's going to have an edge in next year's elections if we're still in Iraq. On the other hand, you have Fred Thompson who is a virtual unknown by name (if not by face) and who has had no media coverage.

Don't be surprised that Thompson pulls the baseline Republican vote against Obama while Obama gets the Democrats and lots of independents. Against Hillary, his baseline Republicans are topped up by others committed to vote against Hillary.

Makes sense to me.

I love Duncan Hunter too! The only reason I would make it a Thompson/Hunter ticket is that I believe Thompson is so much more known and would pull in a lot of Dem votes. I know so many Dems who do not like Hillary or Obama, and are hugh fans of "Law & Order".

It'll be changed to frederalism, and when he wins he will run the frederal gubmint.

I like that, but I'll keep my tagline for the time being.

I don't know if the Federalist Society (where Fred has spoken more than a few times) has a policy against endorsing candidates, but there's no policy I know of against changing their name to the Frederalist Society.

I know it's anecdotal, but I know more than one self described "lifelong Democrat" who has said they would vote for Giuliani or Thompson over Hillary. And these aren't Blue Dog Dixiecrats either. One was from New Jersey.

"Frederalist Society" has a ring to it. So does "Fred Republic" but that's for Jim Rob to say! And for the supporters I prefer Fredders to Fredheads. Or even Frednecks.
But, not getting too excited until I see a Fred on Board sign.

Excellent tagline you have indeed, and a keeper! :)

But..but....we were informed by the oracle yesterday that Fred
CANNOT raise enough money, and NOBODY knows who he is.

I just don't understand this.

(FEAR THE FRED!!)
