In a shocking development, 'Fox and Friends' cutie Kiran Chetry has been canned. Apparently the William Morris Agency tried to play hardball with the Fox News Channel, and it struck out big time - with its client Chetry, getting axed from the network.
William Morris super-dooper-agent John Ferriter told the network to dump the unfunny and very wooden Gretchen Carlson, co-anchor of the higher-rated weekday "Fox & Friends," so that Chetry could slide into the slot.
Ferriter, who'd recently started representing Chetry, had his backstabbing request backfire on Thursday, when Fox execs fired off an irate letter to Ferriter saying they were terminating their contract with Chetry for the treachery............"

ED Hill was better than Carlson. I can't prove this but the older female reporters seem to get smaller and smaller roles until they are let go. Maybe Kiran will replace Paula Zahn.
I'm sure eventually the new fox, Ainsley Earhardt, will get more exposure on some show. Right now she's doing top and bottom of the hour updates during hours when most people should be sleeping.
I don't blame Fox, at all. In fact, I applaud them for having the integrity they did.
I miss Kiran, but heck, I've missed a lot of girls in my life. LOL
Good on you, Fox. Now, put E.D. back on Fox and Friends.
:O)

What would happen to any of us if we demanded a doubling of our salary? (After the laughter subsided)
Perfect summation of the problem with her. I think she is also in a different world from Steve and Brian (and us!) regarding social values, religious values, and political opinion and affiliation.
The show now is at the other end of the spectrum from a few years ago when the chemistry between Steve, Brian, and E.D. was the best I ever saw on TV. Actually Kiran would have been a great replacement for E.D.
I could be wrong but that is the way I see it.
I agree Gretchen sucks, but after what Kiran's agent pulled I don't see how this gets fixed.
Isn't she doing CNN?
Warner Bros......front gate........ Hollywood Way..........boot in a$$ : )
I wonder how much of this is her or her agent's doing. Did she have detailed knowledge and did she approve of what her agent was doing?
As much as I like Kiran, greed eventually catches up to everyone. Yes, she is cuter and more talented than Carlson, but the demands were outrageous.
Not to worry, though, Fox has a slew of foxes working there. Talented and beautiful as well.
I saw Julie Banderos sitting in weekend before last. Up and cominf beauty. Let's hope she doesn't get greedy as well.
"..So maybe I am naive, but I really think that she is more sinned against than sinning in this whole kerfluffle that led to her getting fired from Fox. That is, as I piece this story together from NYC sources, her newly hired self-declared "super agent," John Ferret--oops, I mean, Ferriter--convinced Kiran that she was destined to be the next Katie Couric (same initials, makes perfect sense!), and so got Kiran to go along with his sneaky plan, which he might not have fully spelled out to her.
That is, Chetry might not have really understood all of what Ferriter had in mind--as detailed here at TCG last night. Specifically, Ferriter wanted Fox to fire Gretchen Carlson as the weekday "Fox & Friends" co-host, and put in Chetry instead. The arrogance of Ferriter's plan is kind of breathtaking, although as Cable Gamers know, the idea that Chetry would pull an "All About Eve" on Carlson--who is herself adorable and popular--was stopped cold by Fox News chief Roger Ailes.
But of course, we are all ultimately responsible for our actions. Ferriter is Chetry's agent, after all, not her Svengali. At least that's what I think. .."
KC has been appearing on CNN for weeks now. HUH!...JJ61
Hmm. She's not bad, but not exactly heart-racing either.
I think the word went around that this would not be the way to handle Roger Ailes and the other top management at FoxNews.
Nope. You got it right.
Except the part about Carlson being adorable. :)
:O)

Wasn't Gretchen Carlson, Miss America in 1989?
Yes she was.
