It's Fred Thompson time in this country and we need a strong conservative groundswell of support to get this thing up and going.

Here is a video to try to get circulating throughout the internet.

Fred Thompson can talk the talk, but when it was time to lay it on the line he couldn't walk the walk.

No amount of perceived gravitas can substitute for backbone and guts.

You just substantiated my thoughts, and I trust your judgment. Thanks

I actually had the opportunity to speak with a close friend of Bill Frist about this incident. He told me that this specific incident was more Bill Clinton's team than Fred Thompson's weakness.

Also, any candidate that runs will have something we disagree on. This seems very arbitrary to look at one thing and make a judgment on him because of it.

Those Senate hearings were a signal opportunity for us to judge Thompson's leadership ability.

He flunked the test and I do not know of anything he has done subsequently which would redeem this failure.

But Fred Thompson was the CHAIRMAN of the committee. He was suppose to be in charge, not caving in to any minority member.

Hi Gracey,

Voters who like Fred Thomspon, won't give a rip about any shortcomings he might have. People tend to overlook the negatives when they LIKE a candidate.

Look at Rudy Guiliani's polling numbers. He's a LIKABLE guy who tops all the scientific polls that I've seen, despite some of his less than conservative positions.

I'll be thrilled if Fred Thompson enters the race. There's nothing like a full and strong field of GOP candidates to ignite the GOP and voters in general.

Your correct, Onyx. regardingthe tendency to overlook negatives. I just happened to be working at NASA at the time of the hearings, and will never forget Thompson's poor performance as Chairman. Of course, Clinton paid off John Glenn got his famous Age related ride on the Shuttle, as the oldest astronaut. It was payback.

Why didn't Thompson have some backbone?

Of course, of he's our candidate I'll surely work for him and support him. But right now IMO, only Giuliani shows leadership signs, against the war on Islamofacists and a multitude of issues. Yes, he has many shortcomings, but ALL our candidates have several marriages, wrong religion, and other non related issues. I'm not a holy holy holy person when it comes to a presdiential candidate.

Keep up the good work. Hope you're enjoy MS.

Like you, I will be supporting and backing our eventual nominee regardless. The democrats must not be permitted to win the White House. I find that prospect totally unthinkable!

I have a legitimate question. Do you think that Fred Thompson will run if McCain stays in? They are very good friends and usually a friend wouldn't do that. I would hope that McCain would drop out if Fred runs. He'd do a lot better.

Sure. I think Fred Thompson is seriously assessing his chances along with all the work, money and organiztion a run will entail.

McCain is the first one to say that every senator wants to be POTUS --- and soon, he just might ihave to nclude former senators. :0)

OK. We'll see what happens. I'm excited about the candidates we have. No one has a lock at this very early time.

So where was Rudy's backbone when he could have stood up for millions of innocent, defenseless unborn children?

He could have taken their side and vowed to protect them from the abortionists who stab these infants in their heads with sharp scissors and then suction out their brains so that their skulls will collapse and can be pulled out of the birth canal. But no... Rudy took, and still takes, the side of the abortion monsters.

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels..."
