I'm not a ferret, I'm a bunny.
I have no idea what the hell this is about.
__________
LOL. So you posted the 6 year old story anyway?
(((SOB!!!)))I guess Rudy lost the Ferret vote - excuse me while I jump off a bridge! ;-)
Can you imagine what would happen after you got weasels running loose in the city? Could they cross bread with the 20 lb Norway rats that infest the city? Could they swim for miles up sewer pipes and bite you in the butt on your own toilet?
No thanks!
It's about Rudy, in a fashion befitting a dictator, outlawing ferrets just because he doesn't like them.
That's the critical factor here.
As I recall from my reading of Leviticus, beasts of the land are kosher if, and only if they have cloven hooves and chew the cud. This makes dogs, cats and bunnies all unclean, doesn't it? Does an animal being unclean prohibit an observant Jew from keeping it as a pet?
I think that many of us have all but conceded that Rudy will not get the pro-ferret vote.
"I have no idea what the hell this is about."
It shows to what degree he wants to micromanage people's lives. If he is this passionate about banning ferrets, how will he feel about that AR in your closet?

I don't blame him for vetoing it. Ferret's are vicious man-eating wild animals. It's sort of like making a pet of a bobcat, wolf, or raccoon.
I think the Ferrets Union should unite with the IAFF and form the new coalition FU-IAFF, and write another proposed critical letter to RG on behalf of the DNC.
There were 46 votes present and evidently 7 had to abstain because they could not figure out which way the ferret wind was blowing in districts that they represented. Now that could be the definition of a political weasel, one who cannot vote up or down on the ferret question.
Second, two great quotes from the article:
Councilman Thomas V. Ognibene of Queens, the Council's top-ranking Republican, acknowledged that his daughter, who is a veterinarian, advised him that ferrets were no more dangerous than household pets. But he then said that he was voting against the legalization for purely political reasons. ''I discussed this thoroughly with the people who matter,'' he said, referring to the Giuliani administration.
''It is ridiculous that this Council has had to spend its time on this issue,'' Mr. Miller said. ''But the reason is the administration has gone out of its way to invent a ridiculous policy.'
So apparently the Giuliani Administration banned Ferrets, thus requiring the city council to waste their time trying to un-ban them. Not exactly a small-government-conservative position.
My daughter really wants a ferret, so she wrote a 10-page report she submitted to my wife and I explaining how great they were.
Frank Burns was not pleased.
weasels ripped my flesh *ping*
Rudy is a littul nutty?
