It looks like a three way dog fight is emerging between Rudy, McCain, and Romney. As a Romney fan it looks like the advertising in selected states like NH an MI are working.
What exactly has Rudy done that qualifies him more than any other candidate regarding the WOT ? He was mayor during the attack . Please....
With the exception of McPain , I think all of the Republican candidates would be great on the WOT .
(doofus)
OK - I went and ran both a Google search and FR search for "Romney Castro", and the only thing that got pulled up was a speech Romney gave about 10 days ago denouncing the Castro brothers as "butchers".
So, care to flesh out what you're referring to above? Because in my book, anyone referring to Fidel & Raul as brotherly butchers ain't half bad.
Mind you, I don't care for Mitt's sudden conversion to conservative causes. But he hit a home run on that issue.
Bttt!
According to a Liberal South Florida rag , Romney botched a quote . The article went on to highlight many others who supposedly don't understand the Cuban plight. The only people who don't understand it are Dims who happen to be in love with Castro. The Cubans know who their true allies are in the fight against Castro and his ilk.
There has been an ongoing attempt to make it seem like the Cubans are turning their back on the Republicans, which just isn't the case. It happens before every election . Enter Dim fantasy land .
This was an attempt to make Romney look flawed .
Al Cardenas , who is very influential with the Cuban community and the Republican party, is backing Romney , and for good reason .
That's all fine and good , but it doesn't put him ahead of any other Republican in terms of taking on the Jihadists.
Bush is the only one who can truly claim that mantle. Reagan did it on a limited scale , but not regarding this modern day scourge. Rudy has no advantage on this issue whatsoever .
Presidential candidate bungles speech in Miami (Failed Romney pander attempt)
Which is why I called him a "doofus"
Nope . They keep throwing Newt into the mix, who hasn't even declared . The pollsters throw Newt in to keep Romney and other Conservatives numbers down .
You are in la..la..land if you think that the Republican party is going to swallow Rudy and his Liberalism . His numbers are not solid , and quite hollow to say the least .
Nonsense .It's a hit piece on Romney . I clearly explained the motive behind such a hit piece . They would do it to any Republican .
The media will jump at the attempt to smear a Republican in front of the Cubans .
Again , please take note that Al Cardenas is supporting the true top tier Conservative in this race , Mitt Romney .
Al Cárdenas, a prominent Cuban-American Republican who is advising Romney, said he understood what he meant.
''This is a man who abhors Castro,'' he said. ``From a style standpoint people can say what they want, but on substance he's where he needs to be.''
Oh, by the way, in that link you sent me, I caught this little gem of a response from you:
"Ok, can we finally be DONE with Mitt Romney? As if the whole Mormon thing wasn't bad enough for his prospects."
And then in another thread today there's this nice little quote from you on McCain: "Why would Thompson shill himself like that for a melting, worn-out shell of a man like McCain, who wouldn't even survive to the end of a first term?"
We may be supporting the same candidates (or maybe not), but I'll have to tell you that you have a lot to learn: you can best help your chosen candidate with positive support, or if you're going to after the opposition, go after the faults in the policies they propose.
Rather than that, you seem to be going for the low blow with by voicing assumptions of the electorate's religion prejudices, or you make an ugly prediction of John McCain's death within 6 years.
My advice if you want to help conservatives win in this election cycle: go on the high road.
I think Rduy's numbers for now, reflect name recognition, that is all. Most people aren't aware of his prosecutorial record.
If a successful guy like Romney's a "doofus" than I wouldn't mind being a doofus.
Mitt Romney's entire speech was a castigating of the Castro brothers.
Yet, your post said "VIVA CASTRO" along with a picture of Mitt Romney.
That response shows either a) an idiot's comprehension of what Mitt Romney stands for, or b) a reprobate's technique to smear what Mitt Romney stands for.
(And I'm not even a Mitt Romney supporter!)
And many influential Reaganites have been supporting Romney, not Guiliani!
No its not. They re-elected Granholm. Michigan is full of RINOs and liberals, unless you live on the west side of the state.
Not in Michigan he won't.
Nugent country !
Nugent now lives in Texas.
