Hey Snugs. Thanks for the response.
I still disagree that Rush was being satirical but I really appreciate your comment that you don't like the term babe and chick. NEITHER DO I AND NEITHER DO MOST WOMEN!
And go to hell I sure am showing my prior feminist leanings so if nothing else, know that I'm not lying. I hate to be treated like a sex object, yeah, I'll use the term. I really hate it when a male smirks and right out loud says "hey, we get an erection and lose it all" and even worse, "WE ARE GUYS AND IT IS OUR RIGHT". I hate that.
Yeah, I used to be a woman's libber of the highest order and I'd like to think my granddaughter could grow up in a world where she's not treated like a "thing" with a vagina. Women do not like this and we are women, we are too often afraid to say so.
And don't go thinking I never had my day in the sunlight of the lustful men. I was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL young woman, gorgeous, yes I was. I still am a happening middle-aged lady, frankly. I had plenty of guys...they were like a bus...you missed one, another one came right along. I saw a pic of you too, Snugs. That bus would stop at your stop.
Point is, it's not UGLY women who don't like to be treated as objects. If I could somehow take a survey I'd dare say that it's mostly ATTRACTIVE women who take umbrage at being talked to and treated like sexual objects.
Damn if you people didn't turn me back into a liberal. But I entertained some. And I bet Rush addresses the issue next week.
;-) I am pretty sure that I didn't call Sestak any names.
Dear Lord in heaven above....I not only do NOT think you're picking on me, I agree with every word in your post.
OOOHHHhhhhhh....look out for incoming!
Hmmm... there was no incoming. Apparently it was clear to most what Rush meant regardless of male or female hormone issues.
BTW, since I don't watch TV that much, up to recently I haven't seen a picture of Plame.
What a newfound babe. Maybe Libby was wrong after all. ;)
I'm sorry but I can't find it.
ROTFLMAO
Sorry.
Well I clicked on your link and found your quote. It made me cry. Seriously.
I am NOT ugly. In fact, I am the exact opposite.
How very, very mean.
I'll get over it.
"I thought all along that she was a Bimbo that never learned to keep her Mouth(outed herself) or Legs closed around Wilson, and she is not respected. She is ogled and laughed at, and I do not think anyone can really imagine her in any credible Intelligence matter."
Drudge Report -- caption under Val's photo -- "I'm ready for my close-up."
Too bad Drudge didn't go all the way with Gloria Swanson's last line in "Sunset Boulevard" - "I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille."
Does anyone doubt that this "hearing" was scheduled by the scriptwriters/producers of Val's movie with the promise to Waxman that George Clooney would star as Waxman?
Script: Camera pans hearing room -- transvestite in pink tiara w/ "impeach Bush" tee -- replaced by Joe Wilson holding twins and weeping copiously as Val gazes into camera with her final line --- "my government betrayed me" (misty takes of a laughing Rove, a smirking President Bush, a sneering Cheney. Fade out.
Final credits on rolling scene of New Mexico sky. Happy Val and Joe on horseback, twins on ponies. Suddenly shadow of helicopter blots out sunshine, Val and Joe gaze upwards, fear on their faces. Credits stop as helicopter hovers. Camera pulls back showing immensity of landscape in which the doomed defenders of democracy and their tow-head progeny appear tiny and vulnerable.
Get out your hankies.
"If I could somehow take a survey I'd dare say that it's mostly ATTRACTIVE women who take umbrage at being talked to and treated like sexual objects." Well, after decades of working with and around attractive AND educated and/or intelligent women I can say without reservation that attractive, intelligent women who are successful in life know to offer no hint of unbrage because it just might reduce their power in one area or another and they are all about retaining the power and control they know darn well they have over men who haven't clue enough to grow up. Rush meant the val was a babe to his little head ... proving once again that Rush is human and at some level still a little boy. Ignore it.
Delay is too smart, Sestak is looking at him like he simply doesn't understand his comments. And then the other guy says we should ask the people of Iraq and that he takes Sestak's word over Delays because Sestak was in the military.
The thing I wanted DeLay or Perle to say was that Sestak is in bed with CAIR, a Hezbollah front group, and he basically let them write the legislation that he has put forward. It's a plan for victory, only it's a plan for victory for the terrorists.
Sestak and Andrews would get all indignant and fall back on Sestak's years of service in the military as an indignant rebuttal (I said it twice because they're really indignant). The reply to that is that Benedict Arnold also served honorably in our military for many years.
Game, set, match.
But they're not gonna do it. It wouldn't be prudent. Well.... DeLay might do it, just out of sheer cussedness. After all, he knows about exterminating vermin.
What, you don't like to hear Mike Wallace's kid talking to Irving Kristol's kid?
Funny how no one ever points out to Chrissy et al that Guiliani (sp?) has been unwavering pro Bush, Pro War and he is trashing McCain in the polls. McCain, on the other hand, has been whisy washy and weak on the war. Hagel, who is Democrat in everything but name on Iraq, is doing the worst of anyone in the polls. So if it is "all about Iraq", why are the openly "surrender NOW", and the seen as weak on Iraq, candidates doing the poorest in the polls?
Seems once again factual reality escapes the DNC propagandists pretending to be "Journalists" on Droolball.
