HOOAH!!! It's about time someone in that kind of position said what most all o fus here are thinking!

And he's a Texan to boot! :)

It seems that former Admiral Sestak has a "fan club"...could be the reason that DeLay felt comfortable enough to laugh at him in front of an open mic.

Frank Rich, the NYT, the Washington Post, Fox News Sunday, Meet the Press all are wrong. Iraq is not the foreground, important issue it once was. Quite the contrary, with marginal success with the "surge" strategy and listening with one's third ear one can hear the electorate sigh with boredom and disinterest.

Think I am wrong well, then, how about this from the AP? Even the war protesters get it. See below from AP:

"...Police no longer give official estimates but said privately that perhaps 10,000 to 20,000 anti-war demonstrators marched, with a smaller but still sizable number of counterprotesters also out in force. An hour into the three-hour Pentagon rally, with the temperature near freezing, protesters had peeled away to a point where fewer than 1,000 were left.

Some of the Freepers indicate counter protesters were at least 30,000. After a week long hype, only 1000 stayed to listen to Sheehan et al? This is not a mass movement. It is a limited, narrow political interest of the DemocRATS puffed all of proportion by a constant din from the MSM.

I know, I know you are saying this is a serious problem with a 4 going on 5 year war; however, don't forget we fought the Moros in the Philippines from 1899 to 1913 (14 years) and our Native American Brothers from 1620 to 1890 (270 years). There were ups, downs, many quarrels and protests but the long term nature of guerrilla war has always required time.

The DemoCRATS aren't getting anything passed that will limit the President's actions. Barring a last minute disaster, the war will go on and end in a whimper rather than a bang. In the meantime, the DemocRATS are bound to make hay over trivia--Libby, Gonzales and whatever else they can say or do to besmirch our President and his Administration.

That's not lines from the makeup...that's tan lines from spending so much time in front of the bright lights of the TV cameras.

Exactly right and the same point I made on the GOE thread yesterday. They actually had one nut case say from the podium that he saw "thousands" out there. I suggested he put down the bong.

Just heard Jon Carry's insepid comments about Iraq...sent my boy to his room so he wouldn't hear what I was going to say.

No 9 y/o should hear their dad talk like that.

Chris says he "pressed Kerry" on certain things he said.

WTF???

When has Chris pressed ANYONE on an issue?

not a full eye transplant, just the corneas (the clear part over the colored iris), 4 times over 27 years, twice on each eye now. They're not up to doing the whole eye yet.

I probably should be getting used to this stuff by now, but it always seems to catch me by surprise. I guess it's like women forgetting the pain and hassle of childbirth. If they remembered the pain and problems they wouldn't do it again. It's a built in self editing process where we cut out the bad parts of our memories so we can get on about our business.

And thank you for the compliments. I'm blushing.

FNC is quoting Schmucky as saying "the WH needs to come clean w/ the facts"

Again...WTF???

No mention of his soundbite on MTP saying there was nothing illegal and that it was all political.

Pearle is AWESOME when he says to Sestak:

"YOu must be the only admiral in the world who says that telling the enemy of our exit strategy is the way to victory".

That's what I mean about ripping into the lib without getting into the gutter with them

Good job Pearle !

Well looka radioguy, I really MEANT what I wrote. I think it was in very poor taste for Rush to keep referring to this woman as a BABE.

I was NOT trolling. Some of my other comments were a bit racy but I intended them to be that way.

This woman and her perverted husband cost this country millions. She continues the charade in our congress and she infuriates those of us who care.

I can't speak for anyone else but I really resent Rush referring to her, not jokingly please understand, as a BABE. She's a traitor to our country. But then I suppose Rush would consider Tokyo Rose a BABE.

Watching Chris Matthews now. As for Tom Delay, this is a guy the pubbies threw out with the bath water.

Mark my words, there's national discontent over these Republicans and their failure to defend conservatives as well as how they let the Dems control the national dialogue.

I'm still looking at Fred Thompson and I remained intrigued.

Iraqi's say 2-1 that the surge is working and that they are safer now than under Saddam.

I wonder how much play this will get in the MSM.

Just saw the video of PM Howard leaving his plane in Baghdad...interesting to note that the Aussie media blur the faces of the pilots and flight crew.

The Plame fiasco only proves that the Rat strategy is to make being a Republican illegal. They can now prosecute a Ham Sandwich and convict.

Hey even I think Plame is good looking.

What's the point?

You're braver than I am...listening to Eric Shaun toss softballs at this Congress Critter Schiff...trying anyway he can to make the surge look like a failure.

Rush is right about one thing...the Dems DO "own defeat".

If Fred Thompson runs...it would take a lot for me to not vote for him.

Jack Kingston on now...he represents the district that covers Ft. Stewart and the 3rd ID...interviewd him many times...he's a good one.

Totally blowing this Schiff turd out of the water.

Good call Bah, The first segment with Schumkie is a waste.

The panel however is a whole other story.

The dems have really got their act together and we just witnessed how important talking points are to them;" we need another strategy,we need new ideas, lets pull out, redeploy",these scoundrels(traitors IMHO) are as slick as ministers and sound just like them.

Trouble is they are preaching doom for the country, instead of Christian charity.

Sestak should be ashamed as he openly lied over and over about how our military wants to pull out and how the troops are not supporting the new "Surge". The word sanctimonious barely scratches the surface with this guy.

My guess is that all this is provoked by the fact that the "Surge" is working and the rats are so invested in defeat they are scared shi_less that it will work.

Former congressman Tom Andrews(who heads up some Iraq surrender group) made a big noise about how we can't tell the good guys from the bad guys and our guys are getting killed in the process. Well guess what a__hole(sorry for the bad language but I hate it when we only get half the story and our side, fails to speak up enough)that's what the surge is all about and they know it.

Our guys are living with the Iraqi troops and in their neighborhoods and they are learning who the good guys are and who the bad guys are that's why the surge will work and will be extremely effective and why Sadr got the hell out of dodge when he did, he could see the handwriting on the wall!!

The rats are just plain scared to death that the surge will work and they will be out of luck all together. The rat panel just showed how two congress critters are willing to sound like men of the cloth in order to achieve victory for their side even at the cost of world wide security for the nation and all the hard work we have done in Iraq. They would toss it all in a heartbeat for just any old political victory, these types are traitors,IMH0!!
