Republican Rudy Giuliani is the most appealing presidential contender in the United States, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 31 per cent of respondents say they will definitely vote for the former New York City mayor if he runs for president in 2008.

Democratic New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is a close second with 30 per cent, followed by Democratic Illinois senator Barack Obama with 28 per cent, Republican Arizona senator John McCain with 21 per cent, and Democratic former North Carolina senator John Edwards with 20 per cent.

When asked which candidate they would definitely not support in the 2008 presidential ballot, 46 per cent of respondents mention Rodham Clinton. Edwards is second on the list with 39 per cent, followed by Obama with 37 per cent, McCain with 34 per cent, and Giuliani with 28 per cent.

Rudy is more likeable in his drag outfit. At least that's what the New Yorkers tell us.

That is far from a landslide

No one mentioned landslide, it's 'more likable' candidate.

DG, you mentioned on another thread that the Rudygogaga fans don't spam here, or very rarely do. So, what do you call it when Fair Opinion and areafiftyone come here day after day posting dozens of articles in favor of RINO Rudy? My definition of spam is when liberals come here and post a gazillon articles promoting their candidate on a forum where a good 70% of it's members have indicated that they do not support Rudy. Most of us here are conservatives and we really don't care to see this liberal propaganda posted here 24/7 (I know it's allowed, but it's unwanted). It would seem to me that if a majority of the people here don't support Rudy, and yet these two individuals continue to post articles that the majority of us find irritating and unwanted, that would be considered spam.

Explain to me, if you will, why you don't consider the ceaseless posting of pro-Rudy articles spam, but everything that's posted by our side is called spam?

Yep. The reasoning is to vote for one socialist to prevent another from taking office. That's showing the RATS!

Fred Thompson is in the wings. If he runs, Rudy will have his work cut out for him. McCain's and Romney's candidacies will probably rapidly collpase, as wild guess, with Fred in.

I could easily support Thompson. But I wonder what he is waiting for to get in? Is he waiting for McCain to implode? McCain seems to be making a push right now...and McCain is supposedly his good friend. And will McCain even concede before any primary votes are cast? Is he working with NBC over his contract? Is he checking out money possiblities? Doing some market research as to how he sells overall? Waiting to see what kind of dirt emerges before he puts his family through the meat grinder of a campaign?

Call me crazy, but my definition of spam is THE EXACT SAME POST being posted here endlessly. Like narses is doing right now on this thread.

New articles are not spam. They may be boring or annoying, but they're not spam.

If you're posting the EXACT DAMN THING you've posted 20 times before, that's spam.

I don't know that Rudy's a socialist, though I believe Hillary is. Rudy's a Liberal and there are thousands of politicians in the Democratic Party just like him. On that we agree. : )

That's one of my observations as well. In fact I don't think some even come on the threads to discuss - they come to spam and to attack - to argue - to fight.

The problem is that real ill-will is being created and those who are natural allies are turning into enemies. It may be that a political realignment is what will eventually happen here. There is genuine animosity between the sides here.

A floating turd is more likable than Hillary or Obama...not so sure I would take this poll as an indication of much.
