WASHINGTON Members of extremist groups have signed up as school bus drivers in the United States, counterterror officials said Friday, in a cautionary bulletin to police. An FBI spokesman said "parents and children have nothing to fear."
Asked about the alert notice, the FBI's Rich Kolko said "there are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern," although law enforcement agencies around the country were asked to watch out for kids' safety.

I wouldn't know about that, but I can tell you that for the past two years or so around Southwest Ohio there have been many news stories of drunk's, druggies, sex predators and other unsavory types caught driving school buses. They are usually caught after an accident or statutory rape of a child. What the hell makes anyone think the people who manage the bus programs would weed out a determined terrorist.
Maybbe accidently spill a bag of pork rinds all over the driver, etc.
That should get rid of them.
The crash thing has been done before with planes, I am more worried about bioweapon dispersal.
Yeah, probbly just apple pie Christian mom-and-pop church-going NRA members...
Cabbies, grocery clerks, flying imams, and now bus drivers....
And just why would you think it's NOT muslim extremists? If it weren't, then they would have said so. The muslims are the only ones who are known to deliberately target children.
You're giving them far too much credit for planning and intelligence. If they were so interested in avoiding violence and avoiding bad publicity and getting dems elected, then they wouldn't have flown planes into buildings on 9/11.
The only people who would declare that the extremists weren't muslims are either liberals, muslims themselves or someone who works for the FBI. That's the kind of brain dead mentality that puts us all at risk.
No, no, no, it's those danged radical Amish at it again.
What? KKK? Black Panthers?
Oh, foreign extremists. Must be the Quebec separatists or IRA.
"Could be those uppity Lutherans again..."
That's it. No green jell-o salad for YOU! ;)
I don't think you have said nearly enough. That incident is bizzare.
Me? I would have scanned that document and posted it to the web.
When I asked, my school provided me with a detailed terrorism plan, plus my childrens' schools are within two miles of not only our city police station, but the county sheriff's station
as well.
I feel pretty good about all that. :)
fbi: JERKS LED BY JERKS!
Asked about the alert notice, the FBI's Rich Kolko said "there are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern,"
Look sheeple,it's just 'extremists' who won't to 'drive'our school buses, and our Government says there is nothing to fear, and we know that our Government can be trusted so move on and go back to droolin'........
This article proves just how ignorant our Government officials actually think we are, which infuriates me almost as much as extremists coming into our country, lining up to get jobs to drive school buses. Does anyone on this forum believe that there is any other purpose for this except that they want to kill our children?
Unfortunately this is how I see this playing out. Another attack of some kind is going to happen here. And the American people are going to be so angry because of it, and because we are going to remember how since Sept. 11 our Government has been trying to convince us that Islam is peaceful etc., that the American people are going to seek justice themselves. There will not be any waiting for our government to act.
Thank you for the link, I knew you had it .
Milford421 sent out a post one dynamite burien near a school in California and we have posted several other school and dynamite stories, the googles are in 2005 they are mixed into the thread to about 2012, including the strange man with a box, caught in a school, before it opened.

Could Kolko be misquoted or just trying to be sarcastic?
You were lucky. I felt patronized and they made me feel like I was over reacting. My neighbor is a volunteer fireman & I asked him. He said nobody had told him anything. I know there has to be a plan....just that we the parents aren't in it. I didn't call anyone else. I did learn that the terrorists were interested in 2 story buildings and my child's school is just an old one story. I know they are teaching the children safety drills. After watching the Beslan videos I really was scared for a long time. My heart goes out to all of those people. I know my 1st thought would be to go get my baby. I guess you can't live in fear but if any school or bus is attacked thats it for me. She is staying home and I will teach her.
Something about this is too strange. However, your sarcastic comment is actually pretty true to the mark as to what is considered an extemist in some circles.
"And just why would you think it's NOT muslim extremists?" I can't put my finger on it but there is something too strange about this. It is not impossible but that is too easy a conclusion to jump to. But I still do not believe al Queda is going to take any actions which will remind the sleeping fools that the nation is at war. It will prefer to let them sleep and continue to strengthen the Party of Treason.
Osama believed that the US was a Paper Tiger after his followers were able to escape any consequence for his past attacks. He believed another Bill Clinton was in office and they could get away with that as easily as they did WTC1, Blackhawk Down, the Embassy attacks in Africa and the USS Cole attacks. His miscalculation cost him is secure base and has either killed him or has him on the run and ineffective outside of Iraq.
Terrorists have wisely concluded that the way to victory is applying pressure in Iraq and allow the media to exaggerate all negatives and play down all positives. They are playing it like a drum. It would be a SEVERE miscalculation to do anything which would shut up the Party of Treason and the Treason Media.
Violence is neither here nor there but winning is their goal they will use violence when it furthers that goal and avoid it when it doesn't. People who understand such things as strategy and tactics don't jump to shallow conclusions or insult those with whom they disagree. Such matters are best analyzed coldly and dispassionately not through hot-headed irrelevancies.
"You're giving them far too much credit for planning and intelligence." Now you are embarassing yourself. al Queda's attack was incredibly powerful and well thought out.
It was a BRILLIANT operation. For the cost of less than twenty operatives and a couple of million dollars (at most) it inflicted 150x the deaths and THOUSANDS of times as much economic damage as it cost. Few missions in history have ever been so successful tactically.
The worst thing one can do is underestimate the intelligence and cunning of the enemy. It is a certain road to defeat.
I've been very lucky with my children...we watch them like hawks. I'm a substitute teacher in the city school district and its easier keeping tabs on them.
Keep on doing what your doing. If the kids enjoy it...go for it.
Your kids aren't missing out on anything if you have to worry about gangs, drugs and sexual relations at 12. This is not a problem with only our inner schools but out in the suburbs too.
It's a bad culture out there being promoted by the rap crap generation. Many parents are too busy to be really connected with their children until its too late.
There's other ways to socialize your children without dragging them into gutter.
Church groups or Sports Clubs are good substitute. I'm sure you have online Homeschoolers in your area.
