Vietnam veterans from across the country will be protesting in Washington, D.C., Saturday.
The veterans' protest is also a response to an anti-war rally by the ANSWER (Act Now To Stop War and End Racism) Coalition. Coalition members will stage an event outside the Pentagon, protesting the United State's involvement in Iraq, according to the organization's Web site.
Veterans plan to form a circle around the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall) to protect it from protesters, Joe Kennick, president of Somerset County Vietnam Veterans Chapter 587, said.
The veterans' protest is to prevent the defacing of the memorial. During a protest on Jan. 27, the Capitol steps were spray-painted by a small group of demonstrators.
We are all making this effort to protect the wall, he said.
Kennick said he found out about the protest during the organization's state council meeting. He said members from across the state are planning to attend the event. About 15 chapter members are expected to participate in the counter rally.
We are not looking for trouble, we just want to protect what's ours, he said.

Yes, delusional. But also committable. As much as I thought I've seen it all when I've started snooping around their sites, I've not seen such escalation as now.

committable Indeed they are! Even their young children are vile and hateful. I thought one little girl's head was going to start spinning like Linda Blair's last January. I looked at the mother and simply said; "Nice job there mom!"

The children are trained early 'for the cause'.

Yep! It was still very disturbing to see some of the children reacting the way they were.

That's close to the title of Miss AC's new book coming out in October. "If Democrats had brain,... They'd be Republicans!"

As a life long student of history and war, the lack of understanding of the reality of situations, past and present, in the protesters escapes my ken.
If they had their way , we'd all return to a time long, long ago that they worship as Utopia. That return would arrive at the Law of the Jungle........Chomp!
To think we afford them a vote.

Too bad we can't put the lot of them on an Island out in the middle of the Ocean, let them declare it an independent nation with the name LiberalLOONia and leave them. No Army, no Navy, No big businesses, no dirty stinking cars, no chemical plants just what they can find and keep in communing with nature.

Believe it or not.
While at the UH, a professor and his family and some foolhardy followers did just that. They bought a sailboat and stocked it with supplies; seeds, basic tools and subsistence lit. Had their teeth pulled and were fitted with dentures; and they sailed away. They were back six months later, just as stupid and a lot more ugly.

See, there's the problem,... once they got there someone should have removed their way back.

I'm sorry to admit, but there is a not so small part of me that hopes one of these peace-nik hippies gets out of line, does something really stupid, and takes a whooping.

That's a ping to the 'Steely Eyed Killers of the Deep'. Not sure if it would go priority though. Beach party, maybe.

Well, that isn't where I got the nasty from. Actually, that wasn't the recruiting mail either. But, it is information.
