At one press conference, Rep. Maxine Waters, now serving her 9th term in the House of Representatives, declared that under the Out of Iraq Caucus's plan, the United States could remove U.S. troops from Iraq "by August of 1980 [sic."] Then, Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, reasoning that 1980 had already taken place, said the actual date was August 2008. Rep. Lloyd Doggett suggested that Mr. Bush, "the misleader," was to blame for his colleagues' confusion. Rep. Lynn Woolsey, California Democrat, tried to explain the caucus plan, but stumbled over the chronology of the withdrawal, saying at one point that it would take place in the "20th [sic] century." She became flustered, then said: "Actually, we want our troops home with their families by Christmas." The caucus proposal is "confusing," said Mrs. Waters, noting the obvious as Capitol Hill reporters managed to stifle laughter.

LOL you'd think they would have that timeline thing down by now. This explains why they can't seem to find any progress in Iraq.
You've gotta be kidding me.
I've been sitting on this for a while but now is the time for it. If it wasn't for competent black women I've met in person and Free Republic and all I had to go by was the MSM, I would believe any existed.
"What do you mean we can't pull the troops out of Iraq in 1980. Fool - don't you know who I am?"
Perhaps not 100% --- but certainly a significant majority sufficient to be elected.
Otherwise, how do you explain the fact these America hating, race baiting poverty pimps continue to get reelected - over and over and over -- elected by a SIGNIFICANT MAJORITY of their race?
Even CONVICTED felons and an IMPEACHED former Judge can get elected to Congress to REPRESENT African Americans...
With significant evidence on video tape and cold cash in the Freezer -- the Black Caucus came to Jefferson's defense, playing the race card and the sonuvabitch got reelected!
All it takes is to run in a district that is majority or near majority black.....
By most folk's analysis -- this means they REPRESENT the folks who elected them.....a SIGNIFICANT MAJORITY of those folks....
Semper Fi
"Who dares insult my queen Maxine?"
i didn't hear it on that video.
That's one of the reasons people don't talk about, when asking why there aren't as many Democrats as there used to be.
It's no mystery why certain people vote for Dems. The Dems are the party of give and take. Or more correctly take and give. They take from the producers and give to the non-producers, the Dem constituency. The whole rotten Dem edifice is built on envy, greed, and power for power's sake.
I know many co-workers and friends who vote Dem because the Dems promise to get something for them. I have Dem friends who shake with anger when they think about the fact that someone has something more than they do. Even though my Dem friends have materially much more than me. That is what holds the Dems together. Millions of unhappy but well-off people who are envious of other Americans...because the other Americans supposedly have a few things more than they do.
Lots of Republicans on that list.
...Tongue-tied Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) mistakenly referred to Grubmans employer as "Salomon Barney Frank," mixing up its name with the representative from Massachusetts.
LOL!! Thanks for correcting me, the actual quote confirms she's more stupid than I thought.
