BARNET, VT. -- Sara Demetry thought she had found a way to atone for her personal contribution to global warming.
The psychotherapist clicked on a website that helped her calculate how much heat-trapping carbon dioxide she and her fiance emitted each year, mostly by driving and heating their home. Then she paid $150 to e-BlueHorizons.com, a company that promises to offset emissions

And the rest of it..."and most of them live!"
I got so incensed with all this offset business to help with the guilt of over-consumption,,,, that I built a website specifically so WE (the little guy)could buy offsets and send them TO the rich and to celebrities so they could walk the walk.
Enjoy!!!! CELEBRITY CARBON OFFSET.
Carbon credits via Kyoto - pay developing nations not to develop. Now that's liberal elitism at it's best. Perhaps Kyoto should be renamed Environmental Colonialism.
I bet she would have signed This petition too.
It's the world's greatest, most creative scam. The "victims" are essentially paying people to do nothing and get nothing but paper promises in return for their money.
The sellers of these fatuous indulgences are subject to no real audit of their activities, as other scam operators are. After all, if somebody sells you a bad job of diveway sealing, you know your driveway hasn't been properly sealed and can try to go after the seller. The same's true of a bad investment since the burned investor can go after the scam artist who sold the worthless securities. However, when all you get is a worthless feel good piece of paper, there's absolutely no restraint on the seller's activities and he can go off to Cancun on your money with no real fear of getting caught, especially if he's sold the "carbon credits" over the Internet.
LOL! Impressive website. Please let us know how many bags of seed you sell! How long did it take you to build that?
A fool and their money are soon parted, and there is always a scam artist out there waiting. Al Gore??
That clip is the best yet!!!
what i love is they are (as in carbon trading companies) investing in forests. forests are carbon neutral. dying tress return all their carbon they have absorbed and tropical forests are oxygen neutral (remember the dying amazon, lungs of the world myth)..
BS piled on BS...which coincidently produces methane...
it is amazing people who would appear to have a brain are falling for this hook line and sinker...
Thanks! It took a couple of days of and on. Brainstorming mostly but when the idea came together I could NOT resist.
No orders yet... just up since Fri night - so need to get the word out. Not possibly a money maker - that's not the point - but I would like some stars to receive 1000 packages. That would be cool, no?
Anyway, even if none sell, it makes the point. Which is the point.
Sara Demetry should change her name to Sara Dementia.
I've never seen a more obvious scam than carbon off sets.
Act now and for only another $50 e-BlueHorizons.com will grant you a plenary indulgence and send you a free set of tofu forks made from completely recycled materials!
A fool and their money....
I hope you get rich off of that, maybe you should buy adds to display on Barbara Streisand's website.
Unlike most scams, this one has some presumably scientific basis. Until people get over the propaganda about global warming and see these schemes for what they are, the operators will never be prosecuted.
"If all of us stopped passing gas,..."

Too bad there is no way of harnessing it. We could all save big bucks on our energy costs just on mine alone. LOL
