The point of the thread is not to diss muslims, but to inventory attacks with an eye toward promoting and defending right to carry laws. In 14 attacks, 28 people were killed. 43 people were injured, but survived. One attacker botched a bombing, so we are unable to guess how many people he wanted to murder.

What we have here is the recognition of a crime trend that has occured all over the country. I posted the thread to call attention to the problem and to provide facts for people who are fighting with governments over right to carry laws, as I stated in the first two posts.

Since you assumed that the article was posted to 'dis' muslims, I went back and read it. There was nothing in there that could be called a 'dis.' I did find one crude and insulting post in the thread. It was post #54.

I do appreciate the inventory. Facts are facts, and should be known and considered.

The "dis" that concerned me was "If even a single percent of that population is motivated". Given that the inventory lists only 13 in 10 years, we're looking at a conceptual jump from about 0.00001% to 1%, which has no justification but fear and/or bigotry.

If we compared other similar crimes, we'd find about the same "trend" there. White male agnostic teens are following a similar pattern in schools.

There is a viable concern, but it is not rooted in these statistics.

Put another way, our current restrictions on concealed carry on the books in most states facilitate murder by tying the hands of victims. The law should be on our side, not on the side of the bad guys.

Put it this way...those who wrote the laws banning CC are accessories to murder and display depraved indifference to the safety and lives of the People when they pass such laws.

Hold the "lawmakers" criminally liable for conspiracy to commit murder and complicity in murder when their "laws" result in the deaths and injuries of innocents and sentence them to the noose, chair, chamber or firing squad.

I carry a Springfield 1911A1 in a daytimer look-a-like and .32 Keltec in my back pocket. To the untrained eye it looks like a wallet.

"... I wish my husband would let me buy a gun."

You and an uncountable number of fundamentalist Islamic wives feel the same way.

Every time that I try to show my wife who wears the pants in the family, she reminds me who has the vagina in the family.

Works for me. If you ever read that idiot New Jersey 'smart gun' law, they exempted themselves from any liability in the event that a citizen gets killed because their stupid idea didn't work.

Yes, ma'am. You're right.

I hope your husband changes his mind sometime soon.

I hear this crap all the time from dimocrats, but have never heard such a thing from a Republican. I've heard Republicans say that there have been no MAJOR attacks (destroying a building or taking down an airliner), but we are all aware of these free-lance terrorists.

You might try reading some of the post here on FR, many FReepers somehow think there have been no attacks since 9/11, when it truth there have been many. The fact is, some republicans are just as blind to what is going on as Dimwits are. They fail to see that the FBI lied about terrorists as much under Bush as they do under Bozo.

"I tried that, but it kept pulling my pants down. I'd rather carry a spare magazine. Less bulk, less weight, just as lethal.

There are still the issues of bulk and weight. Slow movement can be just as deadly as incoming lead. Besides more weight stresses my back and it can't go out much more in a month than it already does!
