I wish my husband would let me buy a gun.................Last I checked I don't think spousal permission is a requirement for gun ownership. Buy you and him one and surprise him by getting an instructor to tutor both of you in there proper use.

...I probably sent this person to the burning horror of hell for all eternity...

It is the choices and actions that person made during their life that determines if they go to heaven or hell.

I carry everywhere. No matter if there is a posting on not allowing CW permit holders. It comes down to a basic principle I have.

I refuse to be anyone's victim at anytime in any place I choose to go. I do not cause trouble, hassle other people, or be a nusiance. I am a dead shot have been shot at and have seen the elephant. I do not fear my death, but woe to anyone who tries to murder another in my presence.

It is time that Islam is outlawed as a religion. It is not a religion, and its belief in violence is a threat to our safety.

Agreed, but that doesn't mean I can tolerate being the proximate cause.

Is it more important that a condemned man be executed, or that one avoid becoming his executioner?

I personally carry a 1911a1 .45 and a Smith and Wesson 9mm and I keep a Ruger mini-14 in the truck. You can never have too much FIREPOWER. Stop these nuts in their tracks. TWO TO THE BODY ONE TO THE HEAD!!!!! Seriously I do carry these weapons because I am a Law Enforcement Officer and did not carry a off duty weapon till I was confronted by a drunk I had locked up a few days before, my wife was pregnant with our first son and all I had was a ketchup bottle. ( It broke nicely over his head by the way) he started to fight so I did what I had to to end the confrontation. He got 12 years in prison. We were lucky so now I carry.

That is a question that one can only answer for themselves. I could not be a death-row executioner. But, if I saw someone committing evil, as in SJS that is the subject of this thread, I hope I would have the strength to put a stop to it. In my mind, stopping evil from hurting the innocent is more important.

I wish my husband would let me buy a gun.

I wish my state would let me carry one (Illinois)

I wish my husband would let me buy a gun.

Why should you need your husband's permission?

1968 - Sirhan Sirhan murders Robert Kennedy, at a hotel in Lost Angeles.

Not Sudden Jihad Syndrome (SJS).

Don't know if I'm splitting hairs here but a requirement for SJS is that the murdering Muslims kill total strangers.

Sirhan was an assassin with a specific target.

One of the reasons I always have at least two guns on me.

I tried that, but it kept pulling my pants down. I'd rather carry a spare magazine. Less bulk, less weight, just as lethal. "More TASTE! Less FILLING?"

I wish my husband would let me buy a gun.

When I first met the gal I would later marry, our first date was to Church. The second date was to the range. When we first were married she got me a rifle for our first anniversary....right before she tried to co-opt my favorite 1911 as her own. I had to scramble out and buy her a 1911 Combat Commander 45!

Buy him and you one each and dedicated lessons for the permit. Then make a date to go to the range....rekindle the romance with the smell of cordite curling into your nostrils. Nothing sexier on earth!

The following is not being apologetic, it is being critical of bad/stupid statistics:

The statistics and conclusion are non-sequitors. 13 SJSs over a decade out of an alleged source of 7M and a target of 300M, slightly more than one per year average, do not warrant dissing millions.

I understand the what-ifs, but making a mental leap from a dozen or so to tens of thousands is an unwarranted stretch. If we compared other groups of comparable sizes, we would find a proportional number of similar crimes.

Swimming pools are a far larger problem.
Restore RKBA, carry, and go fuss about something else.

You save as many as you can - sometimes by adjusting who stays.

The subject matter is not funny, but somehow, I found your expression hilarious.

When you turn 21 you can buy one without his permission. :)

Another idea, something I have done.

Put the local FBI phone number in your cell phone memory.
Never know when you might need it.

About a year ago, a man got on I-20 here in north Louisiana, heading east in the westbound lanes. It was after dark. He had not gone more than a couple of miles when he ran headon into a westbound car, killing himself and the female driver of the other car. He was employed as a technician by a state university 5 miles away, so undoubtedly was familiar with the road.

The newspaper obituary, with photo, showed him to be a clean-looking black man, late 30s, Navy veteran. His funeral was held in a Protestant church, but the suffix "-el" was added to his name. Here is the mystery: If he was truly an observant Muslim, alcohol and drugs would have to be ruled out as a factor in the accident. What else is left? Am I being paranoid to wonder if this was a minor-league act of terrorism?

Good afternoon.
"May I recommend a recent novel, A WELL REGULATED MILITIA..."

Follow it up with Unintended Consequence, by John Ross, to get an idea of how truly dangerous SJS can be.
