Dateline: March 10, 2007
Rally to bring attention to the injustice towards Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos & Jose Compean (and Sheriff Hernandez) took place at the corner of Hamilton and Bascom Avenues in San Jose (technically Campbell on the corner we were stationed), California.
A crowd of up to 30 people at one point rallied to support the agents. Reporters from a Stanford newspaper and a San Francisco college newspaper were present as well as KNTV-11 (though footage was never broadcast).
Rallies at this location will take place the second Saturday of the month from noon to 2pm (next one taking place April 14).
A rally in Fremont, California (corner of Fremont Blvd. and Mowry Ave.) is scheduled for next Saturday, March 17 from noon to 2pm, sponsored by GoldenGateMinutemen.com and EastBayCoalitionforBorderSecurity.com
Pictures of yesterday's rally follow...
A gentleman who would make a great husband for one fine conservative Freeperette. :-)
Reporterette films/interviews us for about an hour.

Thanks for posting this! Were there any 'counter' reconquista types there?
Actually, no counter-protesters this time.
The response by passing cars was mostly positive. I only noticed one thumbs-down.
Has anyone seen the transcript of the trial?
I am holding off judgement until I see what the evidence is/was.
I have a friend who is a border patrol agent. He said he does not know these guys, but from what he's heard, he says "Integrity is like virginity, once you loose it...."
Waiting for the chips to fall.
I'm glad these imprisoned border agents have friends who don't judge people by shallow cliches, but by evidence, truth and perspective.
The supporters of Agents Ramos and Compean have dug deep into all available detials of the incident and the case, and come out even stronger in support of them.
Whatever has been available in terms of documentation has been posted at this website.
Roger Hedgecock talked about this case while substituting for Rush on two occasions. I trust Roger's judgment. If he thinks this was a miscarriage of justice, I tend to agree with him. He does his homework before going on the air.

Nice rally. Thanks for the photos and the ping, CCC.
Justice for the Border Patrol Agents. Good work guys.
Does that apply to the government as well?

Ooops! Sorry for the double. I think that's my first.
Here ya go.
Freedom Bump for Ramos, Compean, and Gilmer!!
Damn, ya ask for it, now ya gotta read it.
Thanks!
I was a supporter until I read them and came to the conclusion it was a bad shoot and cover up. They shouldn't have received 12 years, but it's hard to buy their version.
