What a terrific report, SandRat. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this and post it. I'm somewhat encouraged to hear about this.

Now that they have some real power, the Libs are scaring themselves.

I find it extraordinary that any major media figure is coming out so strongly

Is Ted Koppel still a "major media figure"?

With all the positive news lately, I expect we will see an escalation in Democrat surrender attempts. They know time is running out, and Victory will doom them.

God bless him for telling the truth.

I guess he realized that he had to stop the madness that is Democrat by name.

OMG .. I never thought I'd live to see the day when Ted Koppel would have such clarity of thought. My my!

I loved this statement: "I see a lot of wishful thinking going on here in Washington right now. I mean when Congress talks about, first of all, setting these these milestones. And, the irony is if the Iraqis successfully meet the milestones, the implication is we stay. If they fail to meet the milestones we leave. That doesn’t make any sense at all. It ought to be the other way around. If they fail, we stay because they need us. If they succeed, we can start to pull out again.

Unfortunately, these lefties will still pull the handle for Hillary .. even while knowing the truth about the WOT.

Second, he said the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are part of the war on terror that “has been going on for the past 24 years” starting when “the precursors of Hezbollah blew up the U.S. marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon” in 1983

Anti-Koppel Sarcasm TorpedoTM ARMED. FIRE!!

What about Jimmy Carter's Iran Hostage Crisis...which is where Nightline got started???

Cheers!

He's toast. Espescially if he repeats it. The powers that be won't allow it.

Ted Koppel is Libertarian. I never understood the hatred spewed forth towards him on FR. Other than the fact that he worked for ABC. BTW, does NewsBusters.org only support the Republican Party agenda or do they occasionally branch out?

where we get most of our oil, and, I’ve talked about this before, natural gas

Who's this "we?"

If Koppel's referring to the United States he'd be wrong on both counts.  However, if the Persian Gulf did become destabilized, it would certainly affect the world-wide price of oil and natural gas and that would certainly impact the US economy.
