This is a gambit on the part of the MSM, the Dems know they can't get the votes to just defund the war or what ever other crap Murtha is spewing these days, so the MSM is now saying that we cant' pull out.

This is a win/win for the Dems, because they can say "see we took over and provided the impetus to win the war, and the MSM will back them 100% by spewing the logic that we can't pull out now or it will become a mess.

Those two, Russert and Koppel need a history lesson. Both communism and Islam were antagonists of the west from their inceptions. Islam since 700 AD and Communism since 1917. Destruction or assimilation of the Judeo-Christian west was the key stated objective of both. That the west had been blind on both assaults doesn't mean that they were not at war with us.
