Marxine would prefer that others remain in slavery so her homies can get more more more more 'benefits'.
Not so sure there were quite a few "conservatives" who were anti Libby over Marc Rich.
It's a fairy tales that already has a plot and a happy ending.

All will be complete wen Roger is roasted alive in a pot of boiling water.
Anyone with half a brain would have know to have maintained our military strength and even slowly increased it in the world we live in,but no! We got algorr and bubba instead, and well... here we are, with 400,000 fewer troops.
The problem is that we have become accustomed to thinking in terms of a socialist agenda! We need, more Medicare, more free this, more free that, instead of thinking about the basics of what the country needs and why it was formed, which is security and safety in order to live as free men. We need to get back on track.
Good ovbservation, KIO.
I guess someone might need to explain to Joe that there is no equivalent to the Kurds in Yugoslavia. A Kurdish state would almost guaranteed end up in war with both Turkey and Iran who have large restless Kurdish minorities. The he might want to consider the fact that Yugoslavia does not sit on the 2nd or 3rd largest know oil reserves in the world the war Iraq does. Like it or not, Yugoslavia has no bearing at all on US National Security interests while Iraq clearly does.
Joe Biden is an idiot studying to be a moron.....and failing.
Rudy is solid on the war, but there's information from Powerline that he should be looked at with closer scrutiny relating to his record on crime

That is the way I read it as well.
Thanks Star much appreciated, your work is always stellar.
It is not about his reelection, but it could play a role in the 2008 election cycle and affect some GOP candidates. It is about politics and relations with a Dem controlled Congress that is aided and abetted by the MSM. Why pick a fight, which does not serve your interests? Bush may have some items on his agenda that he would like to see passed by Congress.
In this case, I believe economic sanctions will work.
Thanks NN,any predictions on hurricane season?
1. Allowing a special prosecutor to be appointed in the Plame case in response to demands by Schumer, et. al.
SCHUMER ASKS MUELLER TO OPEN AN FBI INVESTIGATION INTO ILLEGAL LEAK OF CIA AGENT'S IDENTITY
2. Meekly accepting the onus of the VA hospital scandal instead of forcefully pointing out that this has been ongoing for decades. Appointing Dole and Shalala to look into the matter doesn't do it for me.
3. Allowing Sandy Berger to skate on treason, and then hanging Libby out to dry. Is the Justice Department supposed to be part of the Executive Branch? It damn sure was under Clinton-Reno.
Post after post on this forum since 2001 has shown bafflement at Bush's ignoring of Clinton administration crimes.
I am, by far, not the only "broken-glass-republican" of 2000 who is disheartened by Bush's meekness. Political expediency is one thing, but allowing this Libby farce to continue one more day, is in my opinion, beyond the pale.
Thanks for the tip
Well, I hope Dole and these Iraq war vets are strong enough to keep this commission under control, because the only reason Donna Shalala is on it is to turn it into yet another partisan, blame-Bush-for-everything hatchet job like the 9/11 "Commission" and the Iraq "Study" Group, and then spend the entire campaign season making the media rounds and basking in the kudos showered on her by the DBM talking heads.
And if Dole and Co. actually succeed in making this commission do what it's intended to do, Shalala will politicize it by walking away from it and accusing Dole of "covering up" for the Administration, and the democrats will denounce it and conduct their own "investigation" (which they'll do anyway to cover their bets).
And which version do you suppose the media will accept as the "truth"?
Ohhh all right!
Yeah your are right, its a tough course no matter what we do.
LOL. I wasn't making the case for one or the other, just pointing out a quality that is unusual in politicians and that I like very much. I am months away from getting into the horse race aspect. Just sittin' and watchin' for now.
"You know, there are times I feel the only people who really understood how to deal with these people were the Mongols".
It may be a Pyrrhic victory.
