Democratic strategist Bob Beckel admitted, in an interview on Fox News, that Fred Thompson for president would be their worst nightmare. Sounds good to me!

HA, am watching (for the first time) the Fox News 1/2 Hour News Hour.
Wouldn't it be hilarius to have some skit on Livingstone and Sandy Burgler?

Get somebody with good reading comprehension skills to read this thread to you and explain what all of the words actually mean.

Is that why John Glenn ran circles around him and Fred was led around, by the nose, by Dems, when he led a Congressional hearing?
To: nopardons
I think he's RIGHT. McCain is already in a nosedive, and it'll come down to Rudy and Romney. If Fred enters the race, he kills off any chance for Mitt and puts a serious bite into Rudy's support. He'll destroy Her Heinousness in any debate and he has the look of a President, which is not some pretty boy like Silky Pony or John Kerry, but rather, wisdom, seriousness, and gravitas.

True, but he does have lots of money and a decent team...
To: areafiftyone
He only served 1 term in the Senate I believe: One full term and a half term. Eight years in all. He finished up a previous Senator's term.

Thanks for the corroboration. :-)
Nobody knew who hired him, what he did back then ( except for dirty deeds), and nobody knows what he's doing now, AFAIK.

I think Thompson will run if he can get big money to back him and have a chance to win. Getting Howard Baker's endorsement is huge in this aspect.
I'm all for Thompson and hope he runs.
To: indylindy
Are there any unpleasant surprises with him? Rumor has been that he has had an affair or two. I do not know if it is true or not. I am sure Bob Beckel could tell you, though. But I don't think the climate today will be too hard on Fred for that like it would have 20-30 years ago.

Yes, McCain IS tanking; however, he has lots of money tied up and there's no way of knowing IF any of McCain's money and people would go to Thompson.
If John Glenn could roll Fred ( and oh YES, he certainly DID; sadly! ), then Hillary could do it with both hands tied behind her back.
Don't look at Thompson the actor.....look at him, the politician and what happened then.
To: Sturm Ruger
Beckel has never told the truth in his life. H and bill press are the worst.

You simply don't understand Beckell's function, or motivation.
He isn't there to help mainstream America; he's there to mislead, just like Russert.

I saw the first one and hated it; neither I nor anyone I know in real life likes it...isn't funny or clever.
They'll probably do Sandy, but not Livingstone.

"
Rudy Giuliani is the most impressive candidate out there" Impressive in what way?
His total Depravity?
His lack of respect for the rights of the people?
His unequivocal support for the Gay agenda?
His unequivocal support for Abortion in any situation?
His unequivocal support for open borders, and amnesty?
