Sounds like Newt is positioning himself to run. He's always been outspoken here, but the timing seems convenient for a run. I hope so.

..nothing personal in today's broadcast--facinating historical examination of America's spiritual heritage.
I guess tomorrow will be more revealing...

Newt said this past weekend at CPAC that he will have an announcement Sept. 30...and not before.

Hmmmm.....I used to be such a Newt supporter. Then there was "the love fest" with Clinton on TV. I couldn't understand why he was so "sweet" to Clinton, when I expected him to frank. Newt twisted like a pretzel.
Then it turned out Newt had a "girlfriend" on the side. It explained it all. I'm sure Clinton had the file on him, too.
So...I like his political ideas but that's about it.

Regardless, the Repub primaries need a conservative voice of reason in the debates. And America BADLY needs a conservative President...God help us if we don't get one.

..even an amateur like me can see that he is cultivating my part of the political spectrum.
He can do this process for months without an official announcement--should be interesting, no matter what one's views are...

Indeed. Right now I would be happy with Newt or Fred Thompson. Duncan has a good stand on positions but who knows the man?

Democrats decry Newt's hypocrisy--leading the impeachment against Clinton while he was having an affair of his own. But, Mr. or Mrs. Democrat:
I. It was a man woman thing--that's all!
2. Keep your Puritanical Democrat nose out of Newt's bedroom!
3. Newt was Speaker not Pope!
4. Since when is sex a "high crime and misdemeanor?"
5. Why waste time on this? There are drowning polar bears to save!
6. Democrats are just jealous.
7. No one died because Newt lied.
