Getting people involved is liberal activism is a tool but I don't think it is a goal.
I think the larger picture is indeed a conspiracy of elitists who are promoting global warming as a means of implementing via the UN the 'Law of the Sea Treaty' or LOST. No joking here.

This movement seeks to tie the laws of the world together around the central tenet of atmosphere control. Land use, development, manufacturing and product design will all be under its jurisdiction because 'everything we do affects the air around us'. Therefore, we must be controlled in everything we do.

junkscience.com is a great place to start
I agree. This is a very good article that brings up nearly all the major problems the global warming alarmists have.
It looks to me like scientists who don't agree with anthropogenic global warming are starting to take the gloves off and make themselves heard. I suspect that they have realized what a danger to science itself the acceptance of lockstep consensus style politically driven "science" will be. It's a death knell to any kind of real research and discovery.

Great Article!
My pleasure.
Thanks for posting.
I had come across the article a few weeks ago - saved the PDF file in my computer. (Somehow, I thought that I had seen it on FreeRepublic, but I was mistaken. I do so much researching and reading articles on Global(oney) Warming- it is easy to forget where I first encountered an article.
The interesting points of the majority of the articles that look at global warming are as follows:
a. There is no evidence that man-made CO2 is causing global warming.
b. Global temperatures are very very cyclic.
c. There is no evidence that a slight warming would be catstrophic.
d. If we start going to an ice age (very possible given that the larger cycles have about 15,000 years of warm periods between 85,000 to 100,000 years of ice age - and then the alarmists might recognize mankind's impotence against Mother Nature - and wish that we could cause global warming.
e. There are some very brilliant scientists who use very interesting methods of data collection and analysis.
f. There are some very unethical scientists who readily "parrot" the global warming line to ensure access to government funding.

Nope. Pretty much it in a nutshell.
Slow on the draw and fast on the trigger I guess.
Is there a Cliff Notes version to all this?
Nope. Pretty much it in a nutshell.
