Quick, Chrissy Matthews needs a diaper for the reading of this verdict. Did anyone here remember to send him one?

Will they even bother with sentencing? :) I would expect that if it comes back guilty, this'll go straight to appeals. So... it won't be over for a while.

Justice based on the facts would be nice, but more than likly he will be found guilty on two accounts.

I do think any convictions will be reversed in another court. The prosecution and defense seemed very limited and restricted in favor of guilty verdicts IMO.

I will assume they will ask for bail pending appeal - I can't think of a reason they wouldn't grant it, but nothing regarding this case has made since from the day I found out Fitz knew Armitage was the leak and went through with this prosecution anyway.

Any judge with an ounce of decency, even if there was a guilty verdict, would give Scooter a nominal sentence and then suspend it.

The Judge said, "Let's wait until Rush in on to read the verdict so we can disrupt his show".

I don't think they can return if any of the counts are hung.

    howlin,

you are right on the button, as usual

"legal system" and "justice system" are not synonymous,

unfortunately i've found that out myself

sued ex for breaking my nose, have lots of evidence, and now i have to pay his attorney's fees, and still have a broken nose

It can't be hung if they have told the judge there is a verdict -- there is a process they would have had to follow with the judge querying them, etc. if there were any "hung" charges.....
