RUDY: SHE'S NO EVIL STEPMOM; DEFENDS JUDI FROM HIS SON'S PARENT RAP (Judi's bitter divorce saga)
NY POST ^ | March 6, 2007 | GEOFF EARLE with Maggie Haberman

Posted on 03/06/2007 3:27:51 AM PST by Liz

Rudy Giuliani vigorously defended his wife, Judith, as the perfect stepmom just days after his son, Andrew, revealed he doesn't get along with her. "My wife, Judith, is a loving and caring mother and stepmother," Giuliani told reporters after a meeting with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and county sheriffs.....he stood foursquare behind his wife, whose highly public relationship with Giuliani began while he was still married to the mother of his two kids.

Andrew Giuliani bluntly disclosed.... "There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife." Sources familiar with the difficult relationship between the Giuliani kids and their stepmom said it started deteriorating before the couple married June 2003, but went south quickly after the wedding.

Giuliani's kids had hoped to carve out time to spend with their dad alone as things got worse, but he opted against it, the sources said.

At the same time, Rudy was involved in the life of Judith's daughter, Whitney, and even spoke at her graduation from York Preparatory school in May 2004. Sources say Giuliani has not visited Andrew at Duke, and that his relations with Caroline also are strained....even worse than with his son. Before she wed Giuliani, Judith went through a bitter court fight with Bruce Nathan over who would have custody of their daughter. Her ex-husband filed court papers in 2001 that said his daughter ran away from her mother when she was 16 and voluntarily moved in with him during the time when her mother was regularly at Giuliani's side in public while he was trying to get a divorce from Hanover.

EXCERPT We all know what happened the last time Giuliani faced bad press about his family in the midst of a heated campaign. He quit.

Quitters are losers.

Rudeo should exit the political stage, before the REAL "Daddy Dearest" stories get out.

All the political signposts bode bad for Rudeo. Rudy's army of professional handlers put a lot of resources into SC, b/c it would be a crucial public indication of Julie-Annie's conservative standing (as Rudy tries vainly to clean-up the effluent of his ultra-liberal activities).

Rudy's losing SC effort was even more significant since it came in tandem with the RINO's appearance at CPAC.

The SC outcome is an extremely bad omen since RINO Rudy was expected to soar to victory after his professional handlers manipulated the media to pump the RINO's CPAC appearance.

In another bad omen for Rudy----Romney won the CPAC straw poll.

Straw polls are ear-to-ground soundings of voters' reactions to candidates who've thrown their hats in the ring.

When RINO Rudy is forced out of the race, it'll be good for the United States of America to have a contest among conservative candidates.

Besides, Rudeo is hardly the image we want to project abroad. Imagine a bunch of terrorists looking at the lisping liberal twit, smiling seductively in his Marilyn Monroe wig and pink gown.

Left-wing blog sites have been used here to attack Rudy.

Perhaps it's time to start fighting fire with fire.

Of your 5 examples, I'll be happy to defend my candidate against the 1st two, which are absurd attacks.

Won't it be better to nominate a candidate for which the MSM has to make up rediculous attacks, rather than a candidate for whom the MSM can be entirely truthful and still destroy?

If I have to choose between worrying about my candidate being attacked for having no personal character, or for being a Mormon, I choose the 2nd. And I'm always happy to defend evangelical Christians from attack.

I'm not sure if I can actually let the words "come on now, that's his personal life, what difference does THAT make" come out of my mouth without throwing up.

Then by all means, when a left wing blog site is used, call the poster on it.

I'm sorry, what kind of spouse it it that calls a press conference to complain about their marital partner?

It's called politics, and it ain't beanbag. Donna Hanover had (and has) the right to speak her mind in any venue she so chooses. If Rudy didn't like that, he should have kept it in his pants until AFTER he divorced Hanover.

Your attacks on Hanover are almost nostalgic recollections of how the Clintons attacked Gennifer Flowers, Kathleen Willey, etc.

Thanks for showing your true colors.

Call them out as such.

When is the last time Duncan Hunter faced off with a sleazy Saudi prince and told him to stick his check where the sun don't shine?

Then again, I don't think Saudi princes hand out at IHOP.

Rudy has only his extramarital affairs while 'serving' as Mayor of New York.
That is so lame. And delusional.

The truth is never lame my dear and if anyone is being delusional about Rudy's infidelity, it's you and your fellow RudyBots.

You can't defend the indefensible, it's been tried, and it failed with the Clintons.

however I don't see how those actions would affect my fathers ability to run a business or Rudy's to govern the Nation.

If a man will betray his own wife, then... why should anyone else trust him?

A divorce is one thing. Cheating is another.

Left-wing blog sites have been used here to attack Rudy. Perhaps it's time to start fighting fire with fire.

In that case you better tell your boy Rudy to put out that fire in his pants, Judith Nathan can't be feeling too secure as '#3' at this point.

Nobody needs a blog to point out Rudy's numerous flaws and faults which make him unsuitable for high office, his own 'Giuliani Vulnerablity Study' does that, as does his personal and professional behavior.

You need to take a deep breath and step back from the ledge girl.

"But make no mistake that your position is selfish and childish. "I will take my ball and go home."I truly wish you and your ilk would create a Morality Mommy Party and go off to play by yourselves. Good riddance. No more threats and tantrums.'

Oh my, you're just full of assumptions this morning aren't ya? Never said I would take my ball and go home. Find me a quote where I said that, or anything like it. You won't be able to find it because I never said it.

I know you wish that me and other freepers in the mold of Jim Robinson would leave here and go else where. Not gonna happen. As I suggested on another thread earlier, maybe you and your liberal Rudybot friends should go start up your own little group and have your own forum. You could call it; RINOSforRudy.com.

Reagan "cheated" on his first wife. Get real. Though I prefer to think that he met his soulmate when his marriage was falling apart and he made the decision to be with her.

I thought it was unacceptable behavior because he got a you know what while talking to a Senator regarding matters of defense.

If Giuliani does what you said, then I will go on the record and say 100% I would not vote for his Re-Election.

sadly, your man can do no wrong in your eyes.

Oh, he most certainly can. And he's not "my man", 2nd choice at best, some days 3rd or even 4th.

My objection is that you and your fellow RudyNots are relying on the lowest forms of gossip, and that you can't possibly understand the internal details of anyone else's marriage or family matters unless your actively involved in them, and maybe not even then.

To assert that you can read gossipy news articles to assess the unvarnished "truth about Giuliani's marriages" is so egregiously false and arrogant that I'm astonished you would say it.

Fact is, I assume that there's plenty of "wrong" to go around in the Giuliani households, just as there is in many American families.

But that says nothing about any of the parties' ability to operate effectively in the outside world. It is totally irrelevant.

Hunter plays plenty of hardball. He forced the Dems into a vote on an Iraq withdrawal last year where only three voted in favor.
