I sure don't see Rudy being the candidate in 2008, but of course I could be wrong. If he is, I will vote for him rather than having a democrat take the WH.
I also don't think the WOT is as up front in many of our fellow Americans' minds as it should be. Didn't seem to be such an issue in the last mid-term.
I'd probably vote for Rudy - if Al Sharpton was the democrat nominee. Rudy against Kucinich? I'd have to flip a coin.
He's like most other liberals, trying to convince us that he's really a conservative, you just can't tell by looking. Forget it, and forget convincing me that Rudy is our only hope. I refuse to believe that crap.
I am sure that, after last week, I have jumped pretty high on Jim's 'FReepers to monitor' list!!
Nothing nefarious implied in that statement, BTW. Its Jim's site, and its his job to keep an eye on 'troublemakers' - of which I have recently apparently become one.
Huh? What do you expect with such a silly post?
Here's a clue. Principles over personality.
How is what Rudy's doing so different from what Mitt's up to? Rudy has other people vouching for some presumed change of heart, while Mitt's making the case for some change on his part by himself. Their methods are different, but is what Rudy's camp is contending so different from what Mitt is saying: I thought this way once, but now I'll act differently?
Here's two more "no way" votes, me and Petronski. (He adds "Rudy's a principled conservative? LOL")
I'm right there with you!
I think most of here get the message.
You're telling me what this southern boy knows but I don't know that at all. Is this based on a position he's taken in regards to prosecuting the war?
If you can point me to where he's laid it out I'm sure willing to take a look and give it serious consideration.
Link please.
Now that's a funny joke right there.
Criticism and characterization of a candidate is fair game IMO--now if we could just stop calling each other names
Say hi to Jimmie Foxx and Lefty Grove : -)
"does not 'shift in the wind'."
Kinda like his sudden understanding and support of the 2nd Amendment? We "southerners" with our "regional prejudices" will not elect this Northern Elitist POLITICIAN. If he is nominated, the Repubs will lose the election. Period.
What you have succeeded in doing, sir, is dredge up the non-ending disagreements about this odd bird, Guiliani, whom you think is a conservative.
And if you think that he will get Southern votes, you are more than misguided, you are delusional. Just one issue (gun control) will sink that man in the South. And we don't particularly cotton to men who seem to enjoy dressing up as women. Neither do we approve of men (and I'm starting of weary of the word "men" because I am not sure he is fully masculine) who march in Gay Pride Parades right behind the despicable NAMBLA crowd clapping his hands (there is a tape of this by the way somewhere, I'm told).
Forgive me for stopping here since I didn't read your entire post (blood pressure concerns, you know). Just wanted you to know that this Southern thinks Giuliani is one of the worst things that could happen to the Republican Party. You'll live to see it.
I'm tired of compromising my principles for the sake of a party that doesn't represent my values any more than the other.
I forgive you for that little error :-)
It's your 15 minutes! Just remember all of us little people.
You sure are an arrogant little thing, aren't you?
I lived in New York from 1981 til 2004, and cannot support Rudy. So tell me, what are the "regional prejudices" you believe I cannot see beyond?
How so?
