At least you gave a direct answer. Thank you.

See post # 340.

I am well aware of what FR stands for, and I concur with that. The problem is there is a disagreement on what "standing for" something means.

Does it mean working hard in the primaries to nominate a suitable candidate, and if that fails, handing the election to the Rats on a silver platter?

Or does it mean working hard in the primaries to nominate a suitable candidate, and if that fails, continuing to work together to defeat the Rat Machine and all it entails?

"I was open-minded on Rudy...a couple of weeks ago." Hogwash - you have been openly pro-Rudy since at least November. AND you guaranteed the Tigers would win the World Series. You seem to have a tendency to back the front-runners, just because they are. Try backing something because it is RIGHT!

And I've pointed out that, even in Shakespeare's time, all female parts were played by male actors. All of them, including Juliet, Ophelia, Desdemona, etc. I'd think that some of the "socons" would approve of that since it means that the women were barefoot and pregnant, just the way they're supposed to be. /sarc

I suggest that you look into that suit. Manufacturers were flooding the N.Y.C. market with guns.

So you're saying that so many firearms were shipped to the N.Y.C. market that the prices dropped below cost? That's what happens when a market is flooded. At minimum, if a regional market is flooded, prices there will be below prices elsewhere. Did that happen in N.Y.C.?

If a firearm dealer has 20 Lorcins on the shelf and someone walks in and buys the lot, the dealer will be required by statute and regulation to inform the BATF but not the manufacturer or distributor. If the BATF doesn't do anything with the information, how is that the manufacturer's or distributor's fault?

Your answer to Rudy is no.

I am completely cool with that. However, I want a realistic Plan B to be laid out.

Who is that? McCain?

Romney?

Pat Paulsen, whom I think is dead?

If we're going to sit around for the next 20 months ripping each other a new one with no viable plan, it's going to get pretty darn old. It already has.

I just did a google search. I can't find any information that Rudy Giuliani revoked 27,000 gun permits. Can you help me find that information?

Maybe he had a reason? /sarc

"Newt in 08. No thanks gun grabber rudy is a lib"

Newt will be one of the greatest President in the history of the US. The others Republican candidates are just candidates and nothing else. They try their luck....like in the lottery game.
If Newt got in race he will win the Presidency by a comfortable margin.

If you actually scrolled through that many of my past posts, you must have WAY too much time on your hands!!I have no clue what I said about Rudy in November, I may well have stated that I supported him then, but I was open to Mitt as well - I am no longer, however..

- When a Saudi prince donated millions to 9/11 relief efforts and later suggested that United States policy in the Middle East may have been partially responsible for the attacks, Rudy returned the money

Lets not confuse anybody with facts here.

There are literally thousands of people alive today in NYC who would have been murdered if not for the Giuliani crime fighting strategy.

No canidate is perfect but if the job is win the WH in 2008 the other guys don't even come close.

Control of the armed forces is nothing to screw around with, the GOP must retain the Presidency in 2008.

You are freaking kidding me! Your tag line is...

"Democratic approach to Iraq would "validate the al-Qaeda strategy"

...and you would vote for Hillary over Rudy. What are you smoking?

My personal opinion is that Ted Olsen believes he was slighted when Bush didn't nominate him to the Supreme Court. There is no doubt in my mind that this is what his ultimate goal is. So, he signs on as an adviser to Rudy and if Rudy wins he will be well-positioned for an appointment. He WILL NOT be in a campaign position where he needs to be critical of other candidates, so if someone else wins the nomination he will have no problem switching campaigns.

no matter how many times you call us other things, we are Conservatives.

You can call yourself whatever you wish. You can call yourself a Rhode Island Red. That don't mean you're gonna start laying eggs.

Rudy is a fraud for calling himself conservative. You're a fraud for repeating it.

IMHO: MCCaine is better than Rudy. Romney is better than McCaine. Hunter, Newt, Gilmore, Thompson, et al are better than Romney. This is the primary. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to be promoting a liberal (yes, abortion, gay rights, gun control, illegal alien pandering, etc, are liberal positions and he is a liberal).

And no, I will not be voting for or supporting a liberal!

I'm out for awhile.

"Does it mean working hard in the primaries to nominate a suitable candidate, and if that fails, handing the election to the Rats on a silver platter?"

Yes, but that's not what I see happening. All I see are a bunch of beaten down "conservatives" giving up with out a fight. They believe we lost the last election because we weren't democrat enough. And the fear everyone has towards Hillary, frankly, is a bit unbecoming for conservative warriors.

Rudy is unsuitable to me because of his stand on abortion, but that is only one of many reservations I have about him. But abortion is the only one I need.

We do need to defeat the Rat machine, but rudy is just not the one to do it.

If we're going to sit around for the next 20 months ...

It won't be 20 months. Eight to ten at the most.
By that time every candidate will be in or out and history has shown that screen names will be expected to back the (R) candidate (whomever that may be) to prevent the (D) candidate or suffer the consequences.
