With NYC being a sanctuary city for illegals and Rudy for amnesty, that alone is enough not to give any support his way.

What many on FR don't understand, we in Southern Calif.
especially here in San Diego, are at the other front in the War on Terror.
Southern Calif. has million + illegals.
It is costing we tax payers in Calif. over 3 billion a year to support the illegals with health care, food, housing, education and their mega crimes.

We don't need anymore people supporting illegals and the cost both in money and the loss of our heritage.

I am around 20 miles north of the largest and busiest border crossing in the world. San Diego - Tijuana.
The kidnappings, mega milions in drug traffic, beheadings,
and worse has to stop not encouraged.

"...nor would I ever consider voting for any pro-abortion, anti-2nd Amendment politician..."

From my perspective, the abortion issue is second in importance in the WOT. If Mom and her fetus are dead, then abortion isn't an issue. Is it?

As for the RKBA; only those among us who are armed and have the guts to defend our country on our soil will be in a position to do so.

In my estimation, the WOT terror consists of three elements

1) Fighting terrorists overseas

2) Enforcing immigration laws keeping would-be terrorists out

3) Allowing Americans to remain armed to fight the inevitable battle on our streets. Unless we want to take the easy way out, as Spain and France have.

Just my $.02.

and neither is he a RINO.

Yes he is.

In favor of partial birth infanticide?

Vote for Rudy.

In favor of a 'strengthened' assault weapons ban?

Vote for Rudy.

In favor of mandatory Federal licensing for handguns?

Vote for Rudy.

In favor of McCain-Feingold?

Vote for Rudy.

In favor of amnesty for illegal aliens?

Vote for Rudy.

In favor of 'gay rights'?

Vote for Rudy.

In favor of being forced at the point of a government gun to pay for someone elses abortion?

Vote for Rudy.

Have I missed anything?

Rudy is a fraud. He's an anti-Constitutional Statist. He's unacceptable under any circumstances.

Oh for heaven's sake. Doesn't anyone on this board look for peoples' state flags anymore?

I was ribbing a fellow ex-New Yorker.

Oh, yeah, he's a great guy. His first wife remained extremely loyal to him while he was a prisoner, and didn't even inform him that she had been critically injured in a car accident so as not to put more of a burden on him. This "wonderful" guy
came home and dumped her for an heiress.

Oh, he is also insane. Good luck with that on FR.

You begin your post with a false assumption (and a pretty silly statement actually)...care to rethink it?

People are going to have to separate the roles that mayors and presidents play.

As mayoral candidate, Giuliani made a campaign promise to reduce crime in NYC. He achieved that by taking guns out of the hands of young urban hoodlums...street punks that weren't even contemplated by the founders. And during the same time into his administration, I got my carry permit. Not in NYC, just outside of it, under New York state law.

(Before you jump on that - you couldn't get a carry permit before Giuliani became mayor, and you couldn't get a carry permit after Giuliani became mayor. So, what's the problem?)

Shortly into his administration, approximately 1000 people fewer where murdered - each year. He reduced the murder rate by over 60 per cent. And I still got my carry permit.

Rudy Giuliani doesn't like the Bill of Rights? What an absurd statement to make.

Why would you sell your soul (literally - if you are a Baptist I assume you believe what God says in His Word) to support Rudy?

Yeah, I'm really thrilled with a guy that is rabidly pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, in favor of gun control, believes in man-made global warming and hate crime legislation and who appointed leftist judges to the judiciary in New York City>

Anyone ethusiastic about that is either not conservative or one that is brain-dead.

Hunter and Rudy have exactly the same stance on partial birth abortion.

How are YOU being "forced to pay" for someone's abortion?

You keep misusing the term RINO, to the point where it is meaningless. You're going to have to come up with your own word/term.

Check your facts. Check your NYC history 1993-2001.

The media HATED HATED HATED Rudy.

Every day was a battle. Every press conference was a war.

And he kicked their sorry socialist asses. Every day for eight years.

What I don't understand (I live in New Hampshire, far, far away from the situation you are describing) - what I don't understand is, if it is as bad as you say, and you still elect your state and local government, why do your state and local governments support and facilitate all that illegal immigration?

SOMEBODY out there - in fact, a LOT of somebodies out there - must be fine with it.

No, he isn't a SOCIALIST and neither is he a RINO. Words have meanings, which ARE "set in stone", so to speak and all the misuse and abuse of words, now being done on this forum will not change the meaning of words or terms.

Rudy has demonstrated that he is a gun-grabber who does not believe that gun-grabbing should be limitted to legislatures.

Perhaps you believe a person can be a hard-core gun-grabber and yet not be a socialist or RINO. Fair enough. But I don't intend to support a gun-grabber no matter what label is applied to him.

Let's break your position down, shall we?

1) Fighting terrorists overseas

Rudy appears to support this, but he hasn't definetely said so one way or the other.

2) Enforcing immigration laws keeping would-be terrorists out

Rudy ran a 'sanctuary city' forbidding local cops from asking anyone about their immigration status. Rudy fails this test.

3) Allowing Americans to remain armed to fight the inevitable battle on our streets

Rudy wants to 'reauthorize and strengthen' the AWB. He's also in favor of mandatory Federal licensing for all handguns. Rudy fails this test.

So of your three points Rudy may, and I do stress may, support the war in Iraq. But on the other two he's a miserable failure.

Add to those failures his positions on abortion, gay 'rights', and the 1st Amdendment and he's a non-starter.

Rudy is lying to you when he says he's a 'conservative'. It's that simple.

THIS is what's at stake. Republicans and conservatives need to consider this.

This is a PRIMARY election, FO. What part of the PRIMARIES don't you understand?

There is no obligation for conservatives to jump on the Rudy bandwagon right now. If Rudy wins the nomination, I'll either bring an industrial-sized clothespin to the voting booth or move to French Polynesia, but I'm not going to support him now.
