If Giuliani can get through primaries, he stacks up well For a guy commonly regarded as a hero after 9/11, Mayor Giuliani is too quickly dismissed by presidential handicappers. Here's why he deserves a second look.

"With Rino Rudy I am not getting ever 25% or 30%, so I will go third party if he is teh (sic) republican nominee."

Then work like the dickens to beat him in the primaries! Vote third party in November `08 and sit back, relax and enjoy everything that President Hillary has in store for you.

If you don't like Rudy, you will truly detest Hillary.

As many times as I read what you wrote, I still can't understand it. If it were between Rudy and Hillary, you would vote third party and put Hillary in the White House? And you support the military? Do you know what would happen to the military if Hillary is President? Do you know the plans our enemies would come up with against us if Hillary were President? Do you truly think abortion and gay rights are more important than our nation's defense? I won't even start on Supreme Court Judges.

Rudy is not going to take away your guns. He's not. I don't want to start a fight...but some of you just have to look at things realistically. Rudy knows this is a war we must win...Hillary wants us to do nothing. I don't even see where there's even a eye blink worth of debate on this.

What if Gulliani picks Joe Leiberman for his VP candidate? Other than some differences on the degree of government spending, they are pretty much alike, except Joe is more religious than Rudy is.

His actions speak louder then words. He has a history of pick liberal judges, so I think he is lying through his teeth when he says he will choose conservatives. I detest liars.

And Rudy's 1st wife was his 2nd cousin, and after boinking her for 14 years he got it annulled claiming he thought she was his 3rd cousin.

So you can't really blame him for that either.

On the other hand, I bet Gulliani liked the Vagina Monologues.

Thanks, but pardon those of us who would rather not, a year before the primaries, want to be in the position to pick the lesser of two evils, when there are so many good candidates available that we could be proud of rather than scared about.

I don't know if or why he skipped the house vote, but he didn't vote in the Senate because he's not a senator.

I am a Liberal who will who will support the Republican candidate no matter who it is, because I believe that in the cultural War against Islamic extremists our country's very existence is at stake. He hates guns enough to join in those awful lawsuits designed to shut down the entire gun industry. I believe nothing he has to say. I consider Giuliani to be a dishonest scoundrel of the worst kind. And you say take his word that he will turn from lifelong held positions and suddenly give us good judges? What word? He has no honor. And if elected, he will make Bush look like Jesse Helms.

Civil unions are marriages without the word marriage. A rose by any other name. That's why the in states like Virginia our marriage protection act explicitly includes civil unions as prohibited, under a clause preventing anybody from enacting marriage but simply changing the name.

The harm is in having government provide special benefits of partnership to gay people. That harm exists whatever you call it. of course, if you don't think there is anythign wrong with gay sex, you might support civil unions like Rudy does.

Reagan had run in '76, too, you'll recall, and at that time he couldn't even beat FORD in the primaries.

Ford was the Rudy of 76. Imagine how much better the world would be if Reagan had one the nomination in 76, and beat Carter, which he was much more likely to do than Ford was once everybody realised Ford was a middle-of-the-road milk-toast kind of candidate.
