We report. You decide.
John Edwards released the following statement today:
Ann Coulter's use of an anti-gay slur yesterday was un-American and indefensible. In America, we strive for equality and embrace diversity. The kind of hateful language she used has no place in political debate or our society at large.
I believe it is our moral responsibility to speak out against that kind of bigotry and prejudice every time we encounter it.

Sounds eerily like the language used during the Chinese Great Leap Forward.

I believe it is our moral responsibility to speak out against that kind of bigotry and prejudice every time we encounter it.Provided one assumes homosexuality is normal and not a perversion of nature, which it is (the latter)...
Bigotry? Is John Edwards part of a "race" of homosexuals now? How did he pull that one off? Cloning? It wasn't normal reproduction...
The latter being a premiere dismissal of the "homosexual gene" idiocy.

What's un-american about slurring politicians? It seems to be quite american to me.

"I believe it is our moral responsibility to speak out against that kind of bigotry and prejudice every time we encounter it..."
I wonder why he did not fire those Christian bashing bloggers on his payroll. Could it be that he is a hypocrite?

Hey, Ann can do no wrong in my eyes....LOL
But I do think she just loves to stir things up just for the sake of it.....

"And we are sure Vice President and Mrs Cheney join us, Elizabeth and I, in joining our outrage at these remarks by the radical right wing conservatives of America, and share our LOVING caring concern for Vice President Cheney's LESBIAN daughter, unwed but pregnant LESBIAN Mary Cheney, who lives with a LESBIAN partner... in our hearts and minds during this period of raised awareness of the difficulties of being HOMOSEXUAL in America"

Really? Where was Edwards when his 2 just hired bloggers were spewing their anti Christian and anti Catholic blasphemy and bigotry? I think Ann was over the top to use the word since it does offend but all this hubaloo from the Dems is so hypocritical its laughable. BTW, where is Howard Dean and his righteous indignation when Bill Maher says he wishes V.P. Cheney WAS assassinated last week? Where is all the indignation when Nancy Pelosi can be offended when her "judgment" is questioned but the non-stop steady drum beat from the Dems and the left questions President Bush's judgment on EVERYTHING in the most patronizing, hateful way.

That statement is sort of fa--y.

Yeah John. And we know how you and your "diversity" applies to Catholics and Christians.
Take your "diversity" and walk off a short pier, will ya?

Ann's reply
Coulters own reaction, per an e-mail to the Times: Cmon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean.

....so John will be releasing that statement decrying Bill Maher's comments any minute now, right?
To: FormerACLUmember
Am I the only one who has noticed, Edwards has not denied the truth of the accusation?
Is he a closet homosexual, using his wife and children as shields? Such a pretty and vain little boy, married to that very unremarkable wife....
Or, is he simply the poster child for the "metrosexual" male? AC/DC? Undecided?
In any event - the ass clown has shown NO characterists desirable as a war time president...
