Actually I still hear it from people who don't have a clue.

I have a 72 International truck that runs on propane. Many companies did not want to sell me propane because they had to fill out a special form on the sale to pay the road tax. If I only used the propane to "heat" the vehicle, I didn't have to pay the road tax.
The engine is still as clean as the day it came out of the factory (on the inside).

I try like hell to tell people I know that we are losing our freedoms daily, constantly. And nobody seems to be able to see it. Now you don't even have the freedom to take thrown away french fry grease because you want it to run your car. Amazing. Dumbfounding.

Pardon me while I have a Dennis Miller cynical moment here.
Used Vegtable oil from Fried foods....
OK most Green Lefties are earth crunchy granola anyhow, and may not eat fried foods.
But is OK for us shlubs to clog our arteries so they can feel good they are Greener and holier than thou?

And what about the tax stamp one needs to sell marijuana?
Buy the stamp and go directly to jail. Do not collect $200.

You are most correct, Sir! I can't find my list of "hidden" taxes we all pay, but I'll post it if I can find it. They are without number!

Investigators are evaluated by convictions. Going after little guys with no resources to fight the charges, and who are then forced to plea bargain, ensures a nice conviction profile

Is it advantageous to use propane at these prices? Propane went to $3 a gallon here recently, and is still higher than gasoline. Are you in Texas? Most dealers here require the sticker if you pull in with a propane vehicle even if you want to fill the BBQ tank.

I wish the government would say that they're going to revamp the tax system. And during the year or so the new system takes to evolve, no taxes would be withheld. AND, everyone would be required to pay their taxes, based on the old system, by writing a check every quarter to the IRS. There'd be a revolution!
I have a friend, who was a democrat. I asked him how much he made. He said his take home pay was $X. I told him I wanted to know what he actually made, not what he took home. I got him to take a notebook with him, and every time he bought something, write down the tax amount. He's now a Conservative Republican!

This is why Oregon and California are looking into putting a GPS unit in everyone's car, and taxing per mile.

At $6.19 for 64 Ozs, where is the savings? You can use it a few times first, before putting it into the vehicle.......LOL!
