Idiotic. Disgusting. Stupid. Moronic.
I guess you could say that Ann loves to shock us, but at this point, whos shocked? She obviously cant behave well enough to attend a respectable political gathering. Its not a lack of intelligence. Its an indifference to self-control and a preening sort of narcissism that compels her to need the spotlight, even if its unflattering.
(For those of you who dont know what Im talking about, heres audio of her calling John Edwards a faggot at CPAC today.)

Michelle Malkin -
***4:15pm update***
Ann Coulter just finished her riff on Al Gore, tossed out some cute jokes ("You can understand why Hollywood is concerned about global warming. You know what heat does to plastic."), and ended with a cheap one-liner about John Edwards being a "faggot." (Paraphrasing) She said she would refrain from commenting on Edwards because "if you say faggot, you have to go to rehab."
A smattering of laughter.
Not from this corner.
Crickets chirping.

Bryan Preston of 'Hot Air' -
Ann Coulter is speaking at CPAC as I write. As is typical, she gave a brief speech full of her usual witticisms, including a few brilliant attacks on Al Gores green hypocrisy. All was good. Untill the last few seconds, when she launched into a joke about John Edwards.
Heres what she said.
Id say something about John Edwards, but if you say faggot you have to go to rehab.
Im no fan of John Edwards, but thats just a stupid joke. Its over the line. The laughter it generated across the room was more than a little annoying.
Last year it was raghead. This year its calling John Edwards a faggot. Two years in a row, Coulter has finished up an otherwise sharp CPAC routine with an obnoxious slur that liberals will fling at conservatives for years to come.
Thanks, Ann.

My comments... what should have been a day to celebrate a Reaganesque speech by Duncan Hunter, and good speeches by Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee was overshadowed by an unhinged comment by Ann Coulter. She is an absolute idiot for saying something like this at CPAC.
My problem with what Ann said is that it wasn't funny.
Hmmmm, David Keene is the head of what is left of the ACU. He abandoned Ronald Reagan in the GOP primaries of 1980 to support Bush the Elder. If Ann Coulter owes an apology to the ACU, then Keene owes it a resignation as well as an apology for taking the word "conservative" in vain.
The notion that conservatives owe the slightest smidgeon of civility to the enemies of Western Civilization is an insult to the intelligence of any conservative after all that has transpired since, oh, say 1960 or so.
Conservatives have a sense of humor. It is the PC left crowd who don't. Hence, use humor as a weapon against them at every opportunity and drive them utterly insane. We owe them nothing else. Make them live up to their quadrennial "threats" to leave our country. The sooner they do the better (and without voting rights).
Good business opportunity: Get in on the ground floor of establishing "liberal relocation services." Handsome fees: promise to relocate them in Paris but drop ship them to Kabul. Dixie Chicks, Sean Penn, Hollywood left, Congressional left, go first.
ROTFLMAO! Your bad...:0)
"Dixie Chicks, Sean Penn, Hollywood left, Congressional left, go first."
You forgot Alec Baldwin, who rightfully has pride of place in this list.
The hypocrisy of the left is not surprising yet continually astounding.
John Edwards has a pair of absolute idiots who have made completely anti-Catholic statements on their blogs working on his campaign and yet this joke is "inflaming predudice".
It is revolting!!
Friday afternoon,Republican mouthpiece Ann Couter brought hate-speech politics to a new low.
How simple it all is. Many people have been caught by the supposed ultra sensitivity of political correctness. I will use an old saw here. Seen in the cold light of day First, instill in everybody.
A Pavlovian response
The fine art of political correctness that has sent so many innocent souls to a professional or political doom. Consider this: Not one hair of John Edward's head has so much been threatened. Now, if one gets really worried about political fall out, at least consider this:
What of Democratic Party sympathisers and their comments on your President? Their comments on the Vice President. Half jokingly suggesting.
Grevious bodily harm-even death..
Why; not even charges laid because of the wonderful gift to Americans of the First Amendment. Ann is so entitled.
Amen brother BlackElk.
"I know what she said and I know what the reference was to, thank you very much.
It was hateful and stupid.
I can't believe anyone would defend her."
It was a joke about how using a word like "faggot" can get you sent to rehab.
You Soros stooge.
Don't forget Al's reference to the extra Y-chromosone Republicans...
That's cruel. It's revolting. It could do serious harm to those of us who are in weakened physical condition due to previous illness.
Maybe we really don't need the freedom of speech.
Oh come on people.
Ann's Ann and we love her. Loosen up a bit.
Contrast Ann's remark with the attempts by the Democrats in Congress to enact legislation which will harm our nation and our brave troops! Yet, who does the MSM get hysterical over? Why, Ann of course!
I agree with you. I'm tired of people who walk on eggshells, afraid to offend what must be the worst examples of a shameful political party. We are about to lose a war thanks to these people, they are pouring their degeneracy into elementary school classrooms whether people know it or not, like it or not, they are having their way with your kids and betraying our soldiers and we're afraid to even answer back.
If Edwards was a man, he'd have responded with a humorous one-liner himself. It was a joke, he ought to have answered in kind, and I'd have respected him for it.
I get the creepy crawlies just looking at those things!
