Kidnapping in Iraq aimed at Germans in Afghanistan
http://edition.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/03/10/iraq.kidnapped.germans/
Iraqi militants holding a German woman and her son hostage demanded Saturday that Germany withdraw its troops from Afghanistan to ensure their safety.
The little-known Arrows of Righteousness group posted video on the Internet on Saturday threatening to kill the two in 10 days if Berlin won't comply. In the video, a woman identified as Hannelore Marianne Krause urges German Chancellor Angela Merkel to heed the demands.
A passport with that name is shown in the video. German officials did not confirm the kidnap victims' names or say why they were in Iraq.
"Crisis management officials are working on the case of the hostages" and are in contact with the appropriate government officials and with family members, according to the German Foreign Ministry.
While sitting next to her son, Krause tells Merkel, "These people want to kill my son in front of my eyes, and then they'll kill me, if the German troops did not withdraw from Afghanistan." She and her adult son clutch each other and cry as they speak while three militants, two armed with large assault rifles, stand behind them.

THIS is what the terrorists are like -- the ones that the Dems want to put in charge of the Middle East and the world, literally.
Yes, I went and looked at it.
Jihadis are evil.

'Turn the world to Islam'

RADICAL Islamic literature, DVDs and websites are proliferating across Melbourne while authorities are seemingly helpless to stop the underground trade in hate talk.-
In tucked away Melbourne bookshops and prayer rooms, as well as online, text and recordings commonly slur Jews and urge followers to Islamise the world. The faithful are told to obey only Sharia law.-
A Sunday Herald Sun audit of Islamic bookshops found dozens of books, pamphlets, DVDs and CDs with radical and sometimes violent messages.-
One book, Man-Made Laws Vs. Shari'ah, urges Muslims not to "accept anything from their governments and rulers except sharia", stating any other system is heresy.
The book prescribes stoning for adultery and drinking alcohol and advocates flogging for casual sex.
The same text claims the Jews have always waged a war against Islam...

Two men are in custody after a home invasion in Fayetteville sent one of the suspects to the hospital.
Cumberland County Sheriff's detectives arrested and charged 20-year-old Paul Kent, Jr. and 18-year-old Carlos Francisco Mozzo of attempted first degree burglary and robbery with a deadly weapon.
The men allegedly entered the home of 66-year-old James Wiggins Friday evening.
Wiggins told detectives his dog alerted him to the men approaching his home. That's when he retrieved a gun from his bedroom. Wiggins said when the suspects forced open his back door, he began firing his gun.
Kent suffered a gunshot wound under his eye and was treated and released from the hospital. He is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under $50,000 bond.
MMozzo's injured included a gunshot wound to his leg and one to his torso. He is at Duke Medical Center. Upon recovery from his wounds. authorities will transport Mozzo back to Cumberland County to face charges.
I'm so sorry to hear of this. I join with all the others here lifting your sister and her daughter up to God for His blessing, peace and guidance!

The unit, the Shadow Wolves, was recruited from several tribes, including the Navajo, Sioux, Lakota and Apache. It is being sent to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to pass on ancestral sign-reading skills to local border units.
In recent years, members of the Shadow Wolves have mainly tracked drug and people smugglers along the US border with Mexico."
Hunter trackers.
They are both.

Text of a Letter from the President to the Speaker of the House of Representatives
White House News
March 9, 2007
Dear Madam Speaker:
I ask the Congress to consider the enclosed FY 2007 request to cancel $3.1 billion of funding from lower-priority Federal programs and excess funds. This request would offset fully the funds needed to address the $3.1 billion FY 2007 funding shortfall for the Department of Defense to implement the recommendations of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission. The proposed cancellations would affect the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, the Interior, and Transportation, as well as the Corps of Engineers.
The details of this request are set forth in the enclosed letter from the Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
Sincerely,
GEORGE W. BUSH

Spain remembers victims of train bombings
Published: 03.11.07, 12:55 / Israel News
On Sunday Spain remembered the victims of the Madrid train bombings with a towering glass monument bearing messages of condolence written in the days after the attacks three years ago.
Marking the anniversary, King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofia and senior government officials were to preside over the ceremony outside the Atocha rail station, one of four targets in the string of 10 backpack bombs that ripped apart morning rush-hour commuter trains on March 11, 2004. The bombings, Europe's worst terrorist attack blamed on Islamic extremists, killed 191 people and wounded more than1,800 people. (AP)
