No doubt. Of course. We bought a house specifically with a basement interior room. Of course, on days like this, if it is a very strong tornado, no where is safe.
The most impacting image of Oak Grove was seeing a front porch with no home attached to it, and the remains no where in sight.

Cairns AAF reported a tornado. No damage reports . . yet.

I was a helicopter instructor pilot there in 1980, CH-47's. My dad was a helicopter instructor there in the mid 70's on those TH-55's and Cobras. BigBird. The Silver Eagles used to practice there as well.

I instructed there from 1973-1976 in Hueys, got a -47 transition, went to Korea then back to Rucker and instructed in CH-47's and OH-58's from 1978 till 1982 when I went to Germany.

Shep saying reports of kids trapped in HS. But, he is "confident that all that is taken care of".....I have to find someone else to listen to. He's insufferable.

The TH-55. That's what I learned to fly in 65/66. We were at Wolters then.
Would you believe I saw a civilian version overhed last week? The Mattel Messerschmidt.
