I was a helicopter instructor pilot there in 1980, CH-47's.

My dad was a helicopter instructor there in the mid 70's on those TH-55's and Cobras. BigBird. The Silver Eagles used to practice there as well.

I instructed there from 1973-1976 in Hueys, got a -47 transition, went to Korea then back to Rucker and instructed in CH-47's and OH-58's from 1978 till 1982 when I went to Germany.

The TH-55. That's what I learned to fly in 65/66. We were at Wolters then.

Would you believe I saw a civilian version overhed last week? The Mattel Messerschmidt.
