The TH-55. That's what I learned to fly in 65/66. We were at Wolters then.

Would you believe I saw a civilian version overhed last week? The Mattel Messerschmidt.

When I got back from VN I was stationed at Fort Wolters and we got our time in TH-55's. Used to fly down to Stephenville for chili at the airport then fly home. Thought we were in the high cotton when we got some old TH-13T's to fly then the OH-58's in about 1972.

I lived in Enterprise in 1965, our daughter was born there. I was working for the radio station, WIRB, and I was the only person in our neighborhood that wasn't a helicopter instructor at Rucker.
