His poll numbers are already falling, and he's wasting his time in thinking that he can truly turn things around for him. There are too many things that Senator McCain has done during his entire political career that have upset the conservative base, and now, he's also too old to successfully win the Presidency.

McInsane in the membrane is running for President. I'm shocked. If I've said it once, I've said it a million times... there is no way on God's green earth OR in hell I'll vote for him.
Even if it means Hillary.

" ...Wasn't McCain the RINO who seriously considered being Jon Carey's VP?"
Yep. Bears repeating. The difference between Duncan Hunter and McNutt is much greater than the difference between sKerry and McNutt, IMO.

My bet is he doesn't even make it to the first primary. I don't think his ego would take 1-2% of the vote

Five words why I will
not vote for McCain, nor give him any support (or even the time of day):
Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002
Which did absolutely nothing to reform the political process of the people other than stifling our constitutionally protected right to freedom of speech and petition. McCain has this albatross hanging around his neck, but is too arrogant and egotistical to realize it. If our forefathers had a John McCain type introduce CFR into the bill of rights, he would have been sent to the woodshed and never been allowed to show his face in the Continental Congress ever again ........

Is it too early to say, "stick a fork in him, he's done"?
To: angkor
No he didn't. He praised Giuliani's accomplishments as mayor, as he's done many times in the past. But he offered no endorsement.
To: gruntSGT
Gee... I wonder who he has in mind for a veep? I dunno....Lindsey Graham, maybe? He has been auditioning for the part, after all...

"Feingold"? --
LOL---excellent idea, in fact I would like to see
competing tickets of McCain/Feingold up against
Sarbanes/Oxley. (R) with (D) twice. I mean, think of
how many thousands of times the electorate has heard
those duos invoked as a team, even though 90% of the voting public could not really tell you what these "bills" were all about.
To: MeanWestTexan
I don't believe that though am familiar with the rumour.

No he didn't. He praised Giuliani's accomplishments as mayor, as he's done many times in the past.OK, it wasn't a formal "endorsement", but the topic of the discussion was "Who would be the best campaigner/debater/candidate/winner"?

Oh, goodie! Now I can "officially" throw rocks at his candidacy...or maybe not.
Are you sure this isn't just an announcement that he intends to announce that he will announce?

...he is the best guy I've spotted on the horizon. Duncan who? He's a congressman, right? I pay attention to politics and I don't know a thing about any of his accomplishments or even what he stands for...maybe I'm not paying attention because of the overwhelming persona of and media attention to Rudy Giuliani.
